PlayStation UK Celebrates 20th Anniversary Of PS4 With A LE Steelbook

Sony has announced a limited edition steelbook case to be released in celebration of PlayStation's 20th anniversary in the UK. The case is available for pre-order now for £59.99, ($92.87 US) the steelbook will be released on October 23 and will be bundled with a £20 PlayStation Store voucher, a 12 months of PS Plus membership and a collector's booklet. Only 20,000 copies of the steelbook will be made and five of these will contain a Golden Ticket. Find a golden ticket and you've win a 20th Anniversary Edition PS4 console. 

Sony Europe To Release 20th Anniversary Edition Dualshock 4 In September

To celebrate 20 years of PlayStation in Europe, Sony Europe will be releasing the special 20th Anniversary Edition of the Dualshock 4 Wireless Controller. Launching September across Europe, this limited edition controller is designed in the “Original Grey” color like the first PlayStation console and also features the iconic original PlayStation family logo. Sony Europe said that you should check out your local retailer over the coming weeks for further details on how to get one.

Sony Auctions The First 20th Anniversary PS4 For Charity

Sony has recently  auctioned off number 00001 of 12300 of the 20th Anniversary PlayStation 4 for a charity. The console sold for ¥15,135,000 ($128,538) after 1,585 bids. Sony will be donating the purchase price and a matching gift to the charity Save the Children Japan. The 20th Anniversary PlayStation 4 consoles are decorated in a color scheme meant to match the look of the original PlayStation.
