Apple Stores Dropping The "Store" From Their Names

Apple is making a branding change to its retail stores. Apple will be dropping the "Store" from its Apple Store locations, according to MacRumors. Apple has already made the change online, and all of its store pages now refer to stores by names like "Apple Union Square" or "Apple Green Hills.” The change appears to have started rolling out with the launch of the newer Apple stores such as the Union Square location in San Francisco. What do you think of Apple making this change ?

Apple Stores Promoting Apple Pay With A $5 iTunes Gift Card

In Apple retail stores in the United States and the United Kingdom, Apple is running a promotion to encourage its customers to sign up for Apple Pay this week. Apple employees will ask customers if they would like to pay via Apple Pay. If a customer declines and does not have Apple Pay set up, employees will guide customers through the setup process to make the purchase and will offer a bonus $5 or £5 iTunes gift card for using Apple Pay as their payment method. The $5 iTunes gift card is available for any purchase made in an Apple Store. Seems kinda interesting to me that Apple is trying to push Apple Pay of all things. I don’t know, it just doesn’t make sense to me. What do you think ?

Apple Removes The iPad Mini 1 From The iPad Line Up

Apple has quietly pulled the original iPad mini from the Apple Online Store this week. The nearly 3 year old iPad mini was announced in October 2012 as a smaller 7.9-inch version of the iPad, but the tablet has since been succeeded by the iPad mini 2 and iPad mini 3, the latter featuring a Retina display, Touch ID and 64-bit A7 processor. Apple dropped the price of the iPad mini to $299 in October 2013 and further discounted the tablet to $249 in October 2014, but the device was a hard sell given the iPad mini 2 starts at $299 with newer features. Apple's remaining tablet lineup for sale includes the iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad mini 3 and iPad mini 2, and the company is widely rumored to introduce a larger 12.9-inch "iPad Pro" targeted at professional users later this year.

Try On The Apple Watch Edition In Selected States

Want to try on the $10,000 Apple Watch Edition? You might have to plan a trip, because its only available in certain states. Only 12 states (and the District of Columbia) have Apple Stores taking appointments to check out the Apple Watch Edition. That leaves 38 states that are apparently not fancy enough to offer demos of the Apple Watch of all. To see if you live in one of them, check the map below. You can still schedule an appointment to check out the Apple Watch and Apple Watch Sport at the nearest Apple Store in an attempt to figure out which Watch is right for you. But what if you live in one of those gray states, you’re kinda screwed if you want to try on an Apple Watch at all, gold.
