Apple Will Replace Faulty iPhone XS/XR Battery Cases For Free

Apple has launched a replacement program for iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR battery cases manufactured between January 2019 and October 2019. It will replace cases that won't charge or only charges intermittently when plugged in, as well as cases don't properly charge. 

Apple's battery cases cost around $130 each, so you may want to take advantage of the program while you can. Apple says it will replace cases up to two years from their date of sale. Apple says the program isn't related to a safety issue.

Pokemon GO Causes Battery Pack Sales To Go Up By 101%

According to The NPD Group, sales of battery packs for charge mobile devices like smartphones and tablets grew by 101% from the time between July 10 and July 23. NPD credits this huge sales boost to Pokemon GO. "In the 6 weeks leading up to Pokemon Go’s launch," battery pack sales were only up four percent over the previous year. In the two weeks following the launch of Pokemon Go, "sales of portable power packs reached nearly 1.2 million units”. Anyone who’s played Pokemon GO knows that the app is a battery killer and a battery is kinda a necessity if you want to play the game for multiple hours. I myself have even purchased a battery pack so this data by the NDP group is very believable. What do you think ? 

Apple Is Releasing An iPhone Battery Case

Apple has released an iPhone battery case.The Smart Battery Case is only compatible with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s and will increase overall talk time up to 25 hours and Internet use up to 18 hours on LTE. Audio and video playback will also see an increase up to 20 hours. When in use, the case's battery status is shown on the iPhone's lock screen and in the Notification Center. The Smart Case has also been designed to work with the Lightning cable and the iPhone Lightning Dock. All of this for $99, yes it may be a little pricey for a battery case but if you want a battery case by Apple then this is the case for you.
