Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 Releases On July 10th

The Nintendo Switch eShop has revealed that Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 is coming on July 10th. The listing was published last night and pre-orders are now live. You’ll be able to purchase the game for $14.99.
“Curse of the Moon 2 brings classic 2D action and a dark, 8-bit aesthetic together with modern playability. The multiple-scenario structure of the previous title returns with an epic new story supervised by IGA (Koji Igarashi) himself.
Players take control of Zangetsu, a swordsman from the far east who bears a deep grudge against demonkind and the alchemists who summoned them. Zangetsu must battle his way to the demonic stronghold, but he doesn’t have to do it alone! Zangetsu can ally himself with a brand new cast of characters he meets along the way and add them to the playable roster.
Three brand-new playable characters appear in Curse of the Moon 2, including the exorcist Dominique. All characters from the original Curse of the Moon game are playable, too! Each new character adds a variety of gameplay options, abilities, and ways to complete the games’ many stages.
Players can also create demon hunting duos in 2-player local co-op, available for the first time in the series! Work together with a friend, mix and match the strengths of two different characters, and conquer stages in tons of new and exciting ways.”
Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 will release for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night Now Releasing In 2019, PS Vita Version Cancelled, Mac And Linux Too

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has been delayed once again. The dev team cites quality issues and user feedback for the latest delay, which will now see the game release in 2019. The team have also revealed that they have canclled the PlayStation Vita version of the action platformer. Those who had ordered the PlayStation Vita version can choose another platform or request a refund. Here’s the message posted on the Kickstarter page:
“Our first announcement is that the game will now launch in 2019. The most important reason for this is to raise the quality level, especially after all the very valuable feedback from the Beta Backer Demo.
The second announcement is that the game will no longer launch on PlayStation Vita. This decision is largely due to Sony’s plans to discontinue the Vita console, ending production of physical copies and stopping certain online store support features.
It is extremely unfortunate, but as a result, we won’t be releasing the game on Vita. For the backers who have ordered the PS Vita version of the game, you will be able to choose another platform or request a refund.”

UPDATE 12/30/18 -

In the latest development update, creator Koji Igarashi announced that the Mac and Linux versions have also been canceled.
"We have made this tough decision due to challenges of supporting middleware and online feature support and making sure we deliver on the rest of the scope for the game," Igarashi says. If you were a backer hoping to get the game on Mac or Linux, you can send the team an email to change to a different platform.
