Summer Game Fest organizer Geoff Keighley has confirmed the start date for this year's Summer Game Fest, and you can enjoy the live cross-industry showcase on Thursday, 9th June at 11am PT / 2pm ET. Geoff, as usual, promises tons of game announcements and surprises, so fingers crossed for some nice news this year. This year's sole confirmed games showcase from the big three is the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase on Sunday, June 12th at 10am PT / 1pm ET. This year's E3 has been canceled in all formats, but it will reportedly return in June of next year.

THQ Nordic have announced that they are holding as special event to show consumers a look at their upcoming video games. The livestream will be hosted by everyones favorite host and journalist, Geoff Keighley. THQ Nordic have 6 new games to showcase, so it should be well worth your time tuning in. The THQ Nordic digital showcase is at 12pm PT / 3pm ET / 8pm UK time and is a celebration for the company’s 10th anniversary.
The showcase will be hosted by the amazing @geoffkeighley, executive producer and host of The Game Awards, and will feature six new games.

During Geoff Keighley's Opening Night Live, developer 343 Industries revealed a Halo-themed Xbox Elite Wireless Controller celebrating the series 20th anniversary. The controller is modeled closely after protagonist Master Chief's body armor, featuring the same iconic green color scheme and chestplates. The controller is will costs $199.99 USD.
The Game Awards host and organizer, Geoff Keighley has announced Summer Game Fest, a summer-long all-digital event that promises to deliver fans breaking news, in-game events, and free playable content.

Keighley also says additional publishers will be announced in coming weeks. During this festival, Steam, Xbox, and "other platforms" will give fans the chance to play limited demos and trials of select games. Steam's Game Festival is currently set to run from June 9 to 14, with additional platform dates to be announced.
As part of Summer Game Fest, streams will take place across Facebook, Mixer, Twitch, Twitter, YouTube, and other outlets and media partners. Keighley will host pre- and post-shows for marquee publisher events. Keighley is also partnering with iam8bit to produce a showcase event to highlight upcoming games. The entire Summer Game Fest leads up to Gamescom: Opening Night Live on August 24, which will serve as a "spectacular, industry-wide finale" to the digital event season.
