Today at Microsofts briefing event the company announced 2 new Lumia phones, the 950 and 950 XL. The 950 features a Hexa-core processor, while the 950XL features an Octa-core processor along with liquid cooling tech and 2 internal antennas. The reason for 2 antennas is to allow the phones the best possible connection available no matter how you hold it. The Lumia 950 also includes 5.2" OLED Screens with 564 PPI and 5.7" for the 950 XL with 518 PPI. The camera featured on the 950 and 950 XL has a 20MP sensor with Triple LED RGB Natural Flash, 5th Gen optical image stabilization, Dedicated camera button and the ability to record 4k video. As for memory on the phones, both the 950 and 950 XL comes with 32GB of internal storage, and features micro SD support if you need to increased the capacity. Windows 10 Will Come To These Lumia Phones Later This Year
Windows 10 is out and the version for phones will be out soon. Microsoft has posted the initial list of Lumia phones that will be able to get the free upgrade later this year, You can see the list below. Windows 10 Preview For Windows Phones Is Now Available
Microsoft has released its first Windows 10 preview build for phones today as part of its Windows Insider early access program. Currently supported devices for the technical preview are the Lumia 630, 635, 636, 638, 730, and 830, with more to come in the future. Windows Phone 8 To Be Upgraded To Windows 10
Lumia has announced that all Windows Phone 8 devices will be upgraded to Windows 10 when it becomes available. This was partly due to the large differences between the Windows 7 and 8 operating systems, and that the changes from Windows 8 to 10 will not be as significant.
