Project Scorpio Specs Revealed

Digital Foundry has recently seen Microsoft's upcoming Project Scorpio console in action, and apparel they came away impressed. From what they saw, it sounds like Scorpio could be the system of choice for anyone serious about 4K console gaming. Looking at the specs below, you can see the technology leap feels more like a brand-new console as opposed to an Xbox One refresh. Scorpio holds considerable advantages in processing/GPU power, memory, and bandwidth over the current systems as well as the PS4 Pro. The power gives the system the ability to upscale Xbox One games to 4K. If you don't have a 4K television, you still gain performance and loading benefits with supersampled resolutions. What are your thoughts on the Project Scorpio specs ? They seem like a power house but then why not just get a PC for 4K gaming ? Also these specs will mean nothing if Xbox doesn’t have good first party games for the system.

"We’re not on a hardware tick tock that says I need to put out a console every 2 years or every 1 year to get people to upgrade. That’s not the console model," Instead, the company is "trying to think beyond generations" with a console model that allows users to carry all of the content they purchased for their older hardware forward. Next year, Microsoft will release an upgraded version of Xbox One,”Project Scorpio”, which Spencer likened to a PC with a GeForce GTX 980 graphics card. What do you think of Project Scorpio ?
