Titanfall: Frontline Has Been Cancelled

According to GamesIndustry.biz, Respawn Entertainemnt has cancelled Titanfall: Frontline. The Titanfall-themed mobile card game was to be the first in a multi-title partnership with mobile specialist Nexon. A statement on the Titanfall: Frontline website reads:

"We’ve learned an incredible amount in the beta test of Titanfall: Frontline, but in the end felt the experience wasn't ready to deliver the intense action-packed gameplay synonymous with Titanfall. While it’s never easy to cancel a game, we’re excited to take some of the concepts we saw resonate with players and build off of them in future Titanfall mobile games."

Those participating in the game's closed beta will see the servers shut off on January 20. 

Titanfall: Frontline Soft-Launches On iOS And Android

Nexon's Titanfall: Frontline has soft-launched on iOS in the Philippines. Android had a soft launch last week. Titanfall: Frontline is a card battler in which you assume the role of a brigade Commander facing off against players in real-time, PvP combat. A release date has yet to be announced, but it will likely release later this year on iOS and Android.
