Fortnite Will Be On PS5 And Xbox Series X At Launch

Epic Games says it is bringing Fortnite to the next-gen systems when they launch in Holiday 2020. The game will also migrate over to the just-announced Unreal Engine 5 in mid-2021.

Progress and purchases in the game will carry over, and players can play across generations. Epic has provided a short FAQ here.

Epic Games unveiled a video detailing Unreal Engine 5. Get a glimpse of nanite virtualized micropolygon geometry, dynamic global illumination, and so much more. Unreal Engine 5 is said to be released in 2021, so don’t expected it to be used in any games anytime soon.
