Nintendo Will Be Making Movies Soon

In an interview with Asahi, Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima discussed Nintendo’s initiative with movies. Not only is Nintendo getting into the movie business, but Kimishima hinted that Nintendo wants a production system where “we can do as much as we can ourselves.” Kimishima continued, saying that Nintendo hopes to have the first movie ready in the next 2-3 years. Nintendo is considering their own franchises, including Mario. Not much more was revealed, but it sounds like Nintendo sees movies as a promising business move.
