According to the USPTO documents filed for Zelda: Breath of the Wild the NX won’t use traditional discs and will instead use cartridges. The document states that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will ship on both disc and cartridge. Clearly the Wii U version will ship on disc but the cartridge version of game remains unclear.
