System Shock Remake Live On Kickstarter, Play The Demo Now
Nightdive Studios has launched a Kickstarter for a remake of System Shock. According to there Kickstarter, the game will be a "complete remake" of the original title, built using the Unity Engine. The Kickstarter goal is set at $900,000 and at the time of this posting, the campaign has already raised over $85,000. If you pledge at least $150 will receive the Big Box Collector's Edition, which includes the game's soundtrack, a collectible handbook, patch and pin, as well as a steel DVD case and repair bot figurine. Also, a pre-alpha demo that represents the look and feel of what the studio wants to achieve with the remake is now available for download through Steam, Humble Store and GOG.com. The demo is just a proof of concept, everything in the demo is subject to change.
