Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Is Now Backwards Compatible On Xbox One

Microsofts Larry Hryb has announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is now available for Xbox One via backward compatibility. If you don't already have a physical copy of the game, you can download it for $20, or $15 if you're an Xbox Live Gold subscriber

Microsoft Announced More Backwards Compatible Titles For Xbox One

Microsoft has announced the latest group of Xbox 360 games for backwards compatible. Here is a list of all the new titles:

• Aegis Wing
• Age of Booty
• Counter-Strike: GO
• Jeremy McGrath's Offroad
• Sam & Max Save the World
• Skullgirls
• Small Arms
• Soul Calibur
• Space Giraffe
• The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings

Microsoft also notes that in the US, Canada, UK, France and Germany players can download The Witcher 2 for free until February 5. 

Microsoft Wants To Know What Games To Make Backwards Compatible

We learned during Microsoft’s E3 press conference that backwards compatibility is coming to Xbox One. This will allow players to begin playing their Xbox 360 games on the new console. It should be noted that he functionality is not going to be available for every title in the Xbox 360 catalog. Before finalizing the selection of games, Microsoft wants to know which games you’d like to see make their way to Xbox One. Microsoft has already announced a list of titles that will be backwards compatibility (which you can see below), and are already available in testing for Xbox Preview members, including such titles as Mass Effect and Super Meat Boy.
