Is Halo 5: Guardians Coming To PC ? [UPDATE] It's Not

It looks like Halo 5 is coming to PC. An Amazon listing for Halo 5: Guardians hits at the possibility of an upcoming PC release. AllGamesDelta shared images of the old and new box art, side-by-side, in a tweet with details. Basically, the new cover ditches the old banner that reads "Only on Xbox One" Thoughts ? Halo 5: Guardians released back in 2015, so why release it on PC now with Halo: Infinite on the horizon ?

UPDATE 9/12/18 - In a statement to CNET a Microsoft representative said the following  “As we've shared previously, we do not have plans to launch Halo 5: Guardians on Windows 10 PC.”

Halo 5’s Forge Mode Is Coming To Windows 10

Halo 5 developer, 343 Industries has announced the ability to make and play Halo 5 Forge maps on Windows 10. 343 said it is bringing Halo 5: Guardians' Forge mode to PC as a free Windows 10 app. Titled Forge – Halo 5: Guardians, the standalone mode will allow users to create and play their own Forge maps on PC and then publish them to Xbox One. Could We see Halo 5: Guardians On PC In The Future ?

Halo 5: Guardians could come to Winnows 10 PC’s. According to Halo franchise director Frank O’ Connor during a GamesRadar livestream "Nothing to announce at this point, but it’s absolutely within the bounds of reason." O'Connor went on to say the porting process wouldn't be all that difficult. "We developed the game on an Intel platform. It wouldn’t be the hardest thing in the world to move it to PC and take advantage of PC stuff. But nothing to announce today." Halo 5: Guardians will be available for Xbox One on October 27, at least for now. It would be nice to play Halo on a PC, the last Halo on PC was Halo 2. Needless to say a Halo on PC is long over due and would be a great addition to the Windows 10 games catalog that Microsoft is trying to create. What do you think of Halo 5 being on PC ?

Halo 5 Will Take 60GB Of Your Hard Drive

A picture of the back of Halo 5: Guardians has appeared on a NeoGAF forum. The picture shows that the game will take up to 60GB of hard drive space. This is probably the biggest hard drive eater I have yet to see on this generation of consoles. Good thing Xbox One supports external hard drives otherwise I could this as a big issue for Xbox One players, not to mention DLC size in the future. What do you think about Halo 5 being 60GB ? Halo 5: Guardians comes out on October 27 for Xbox One.

Halo 5: Guardians Will Be Rated T For Teens

Halo 5: Guardians has received a Teen rating from the ESRB, making it the first of the Halo in the main series to receive a rating other than a Mature rating. The ESRB listing highlights the standard Halo violence like "Players use pistols, machine guns, grenade launchers, and futuristic weapons to kill alien and human enemies in frenetic combat. Battles are highlighted by realistic gunfire, explosions, and blood splatter effects. Characters can also use assassinate other characters by snapping their necks, or by stabbing them with a bladed weapons." Then there is the game's language, with the occasional bad word here and there along with taunts and insults. All of this apparently didn’t give the game a Mature rating. Maybe the ESRB has changed there standard on how they rate a game.  What of you think ? Halo 5: Guardians is set for release on October 27 for Xbox One.
