PlayStation Offering Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection And Journey For Free

PlayStation president Jim Ryan revealed the details of the $10 million fund and free games on PlayStation.Blog, but also said more information and participation criteria will revealed at a later date for those developers looking to take advantage of it.

"Independent developers are vital to the heart and soul of the gaming community and we understand the hardships and financial struggles that many smaller gaming studios are facing." Ryan said.

Journey and Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will be free to all PS4 players, not just those with PlayStation Plus, from April 15 - May 5 to "help keep the PlayStation community entertained at home." Its important to note that, once you redeem the games are yours to keep forever.

Thatgamecompany Announces Sky At iPhone Event

During Apple's 2017 iPhone conference, Jenova Chen, creator of games like Flower and Journey, reveled his new game titled Sky.The game is a multiplayer title that resembles Journey. Players meet up, complete objectives, or surf around the sky in beautiful environments on their own. Sky has simplified inputs to allow for touch controls, with the touchpad on the Apple TV remote functioning as the controller for the game. The Game is said to be releasing first on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV first.

What To Expect From PlayStation Experience In December

PlayStation Experience is an event for PlayStation fans which is taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 6 and 7. Sony thanked fans for their commitment to the Playstation platform and confirmed that the event will host announcements, booths, merchandise, panels and playable demos from EA, Ubisoft, Naughty Dog, Activision and Capcom. Playable titles will include Battlefield Hardline, Bloodborne, Dying Light, Telltale's Game of Thrones, Journey, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris and Mortal Kombat X just to name a few.
