Aswas previously reported, Marvel Heroes Omega will closing, but sooner than expected, with the entire staff of Gazillion released. Anofficial confirmation that Gazillion Entertainment has indeed shuttered via Marvel Heroes' official Twitter. The goodbye tweet, which you can see below, thanked fans for their support.
Disney has cut ties with the Gazillion, the developer of Marvel Heroes, and is shutting down the game. According to Kotaku, the news came via an email from a Disney representative. The email states the following:
“We regret to inform our Marvel Heroes fans that we have ended our relationship with Gazillion Entertainment, and that the Marvel Heroes games will be shut down. We would like to sincerely thank the players who joined the Marvel Heroes community, and will provide any further updates as they become available.”
Marvel Heroes servers will shut down after December 31, 2017.
The free-to-play MMORPG, Marvel Heroes Omega is now available on PS4 and Xbox One. Accompanying the announcement is a new action-packed launch trailer that introduces couch co-op and shows off a few heroes and some of the end-game content.
Gazillion Entertainment, developer of Marvel Heroes has reportedly lost the rights to the Fantastic Four and Silver Surfer characters and will no longer continuing selling these characters in the game starting July 1. See the full list of affected costumes below:

Additionally, all of the costumes for the aforementioned characters, as well as the Future Foundation costumes for other characters will be affected. However, Doctor Doom won't be affected. Players who already own the Heroes and their costumes will still have access to them as they do now.
Earlier this month, Gazillion revealed Marvel Heroes Omega is coming PS4 and Xbox One, not the developer has announced that the closed beta for PS4 is coming on April 21. Once available, buying a founder's pack through the PlayStation store entitles you to beta access, according to a forum post from the developer, and anyone who participates in the beta "can look forward to receiving Daredevil" at no cost. The final game will feature 38 characters at launch, with Iron Fist and War Machine "exclusive to the Founder’s Pack for a 6-month period.”Thoughts ?
Marvel Heroes 2016 developer Gazillion has announced the free-to-play Marvel MMO is coming to consoles this spring and will be called Marvel Heroes Omega. Gazillion is getting ready for a closed beta for the PS4 (with an open beta later on), and at launch the game contains 38 heroes, including Captain America, Deadpool, Wolverine, Iron Man, and more. Marvel Heroes Omega will have in-game content for online players as they go through operations missions, but it also contains a 9 chapter story campaign, the X-Men's Danger Room simulator, legendary missions (for legendary items), trials, and other modes of play. There is no transfer of progress for existing players of Gazillion's Marvel Heroes 2016 MMO on PC. Gazillion also says there will be an Xbox One beta at an unspecified date.
