Apple Fighting To Stop RadioShack From Selling Customer Data

Looks like Apple is attempting to stop Radioshack from selling private customer information. Radioshack filed for bankruptcy earlier this year. Customer information was originally part of the first round of bankruptcy liquidation, but didn’t happen. However, in April, Radioshack asked the court to authorise if they can include the data of up to 117 million customers. Apple has said that Radioshack cannot include Apple customer data in the auction, and has joined in filing a motion to block the sale. If the sale goes through a lot of names and email address will go to the highest bidder. What do you think of this news ? 

RadioShack Files For Bankrupts

RadioShack has filed for bankruptcy earlier this week. However, the store won't disappear entirely, the company is just no longer independently owned. RadioShack operated 4,000 stores in the US. General Wireless, a unit of investing firm Standard General, will buy between 1,500 to 2,400 of those stores. Wireless service provider Sprint said it made a deal with General wireless to create 1,750 stores that will sell a combination of Sprint products and services. Are you surprised by this ?
