Shovel Knight King Of Cards And amiibo 3-pack Coming In December

Yacht Club Games has announced that the Shovel Knight Treasure Trove amiibo 3 pack will available in December. The company also revealed that Shovel Knight: King of Cards, Shovel Knight Showdown, and the physical edition of Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove will be coming in December too. That’s not all, as Yacht Club Games has mentioned that there’s new features coming to Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove:
  • In Shovel of Hope, we’ve finally added a third option for character pronouns. Alongside being able to choose between two body types for every main character, you can now switch the pronouns to they / them.
  • You can now earn Shovel of Hope Feats while playing co-op. These are still quite challenging, and some are made even more challenging when coordinating with a friend!
  • In Plague of Shadows, we’ve added an Alchemy Quick Select option. You can select your bombs and arcana with a convenient new menu, allowing you to experiment with explosives freely, just like the mad alchemist himself.
  • In Specter of Torment, we added five all new platforming challenges to challenge mode. These are not meant for the faint of heart—the new challenges require significant command over Specter Knight’s iconic move: the dash slash.
  • For all the games, including the upcoming King of Cards and Showdown, we have added three new language options! Korean and Traditional and Simplified Chinese. Bringing the total count to twelve!
  • We’ve expanded Accessibility options across all games. The intensity of screen flash and screen shake events can now be reduced independently from one another. And King of Cards also has palettes to improve colorblind visibility for Joustus.
  • Shovel Knight features hundreds of cheats to share and explore already! But we couldn’t resist adding just a few more. Some add whole new ways to play. Some of them might be a bit too much…
  • Finally, once you have completed all feats in a game, you will unlock a small flag on the title screen to signify that game’s completion. In addition, once you have conquered every Challenge for that game, a medal will appear denoting your true mastery. If you’ve already completed each game, then don’t worry, these are awarded retroactively. Enjoy filling up the title screen with your many, hard-fought, knightly accomplishments!

Shovel Knight Is Getting 2 New Campaigns

Yacht Club Games has confirmed that it is working on 2 new campaigns for Shovel Knight, which are Specter Knight and King Knight. No release date for either campaign has been announced yet. Here’s a variety of answers to the most frequently asked questions:

  • We’re working on two new campaigns: Specter Knight and King Knight.
  • Campaigns will not be releasing at the same time. Specter Knight will be released first!
  • No estimated release date for any Update quite yet.
  • Similar to our last update, we’ll probably go overboard too. Hey! Maybe that’s why we’re called Yacht Club Games!
  • New campaigns will come with new Feats and Challenges for the new campaign character!
  • We’re also working on two new modes: Body Swap and Battle Mode!
  • Just like Plague of Shadows releasing with Challenge Mode, we’re planning to release one of these new modes alongside each campaign.
  • Battle Mode is being designed as a single screen, multiple controller, multiplayer mode and is currently not planned to arrive on handheld versions of the game. We’ll be sure to announce if there are any changes on that front.
  • Much like Plague of Shadows, all of the announced upcoming Shovel Knight content will be free on ALL platforms! For disc/cart and digital versions!

Shovel Knight Is Getting A Disc Version Of The Game

Yacht Club Games has announced that Shovel Knight is coming to retail in October. Shovel Knight retail package includes the Plague of Shadows content update and challenge mode. Plus, picking up the retail version of the game means you also receive all of the free, future updates, for example the Specter Knight campaign. Yacht Club Games is also promising a lavish instruction booklet with Shovel Knight. "No two-page inserts here! You deserve a full manual, to hold in your hot little shaking hands and pore over as you wait to get home," Yacht Club said on its website. The boxed copies of Shovel Knight are set to release October 13 in North America and October 16 in Europe. The $20 USD package is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, 3DS and  PC.
