My Top 5 Games Of 2016

Before I begin with my Top 5, I’d like to point out that this list is based on my opinion and my opinion alone. I’m just giving my thoughts on games that I enjoyed this year.

5. Killer Instinct Season 3

Although this game was already released on Xbox One back in 2013, the game is new to Windows 10 PC users with the release of Season 3. Myself and many were hoping for a PC port when the game for first announced and it delivers 10 fold. The Killer Instinct series is rejuvenated thanks to Microsoft by redesigned old characters while giving us new ones to enjoy. Even if you’re just a casual fighting game fan like myself. With its combo assist mode it’s very casual friendly. Killer Instinct is definitely worth checking out, also were else are you gonna find a fighting game were you can play as a ninja, a mummy, a werewolf, a cyborg or even a demon ?

4. AM2R

As someone whos favorite Metroid game is Zero Mission and never got a chance to experience Metroid 2, AM2R is perfect in every way. From the sounds to the art to everything about this game, it made me feel how I did when I played Zero Mission for the first time. The game gives life to the Metroid series when it seems like Nintendo can’t. Between the discovery and boss battles you’ll see time fly right before your eyes, I know I did. If you haven’t played this game yet, I highly recommend that you do.

3. Uncharted 4

Uncharted 4 is simply breath taking, from its scenery to its motion capture. Nathan Drakes send off it full of excitement and adventure behind every corner. If you own a PS4 and you haven’t play this game yet, you’re seriously missing out.

2. DOOM

I’ll make it simple, DOOM is so f_cking METAL and it knows it. What was once old is new again, between its amazing combat awesome gore factor and killer soundtrack. You’ll find yourself grooving to the soundtrack as you’re slaying some demons. DOOM is 100% a must play.

1. Overwatch

I was excited was Overwatch was first announced back and Blizzcon 2014 but I never expected I’d love it as much as I do. From it’s diverse character roaster to the mystery be hide each character to it’s cool game modes. Each character is unique in there own special way and it’s hard not love love all of them. I know this game doesn’t have a story more, but there’s definitely a lot of lore to go around. As you should know by now, if you haven’t played this game you should give it a try, specially since Blizzard has free weekends for the game every now and then.

So those were my Top 5 Games of 2016. Here’s to an amazing 2017. It’s looking to be another amazing year for games, with Horizon Zero Dawn, Crash Bandicoot N’ Sane Trilogy, Injustice 2, Zelda: Breath of The Wild, Red Dead Redemption and the Nintendo Switch just to name a few things I’m excited for in new year. I’d like to give a “few” honorable mentions to some games that didn’t make the list but I still enjoyed.

Skylanders: Imaginators
Pokemon Moon
Street Fighter V
WWE 2K17
Telltale Batman
Pokken Tourement
Ratchet & Clank
Kirby: Planet Robobot
Deus Ex GO
Amplitude
Pokemon GO
Killing Floor 2
Let It Die

No iPhone 6C This Year ?

According to analyst, Apple is unlikely to launch a new 4 inch iPhone this year. Saying that Apple will instead likely release a new 4-inch iPhone with Apple Pay compatibility in 2016. The analyst claims that the iPhone 5c will likely reach the end of its product cycle later this year, with the iPhone 5s becoming the new entry level device in Apple's smartphone lineup once the so-called "iPhone 6s" and "iPhone 6s Plus" are released this September. For now, the rumored "iPhone 6c," speculated to be an iPhone 5s with plastic casing, is not planned.

San Diego Comic-Con Could Leave San Diego After 2016

San Diego Comic-Con could be on the move due to San Diego City Council’s decision to not appeal a court ruling that would end plans to expand the city’s convention center. The ruling, passed down from the Fourth District Court of Appeal earlier this month, struck down a proposed levy on hotels in the area around the San Diego Convention Center ,a levy which was relied upon to foot much of the projected $520 million cost of the planned expansion for the Convention Center. On Tuesday, the San Diego City Council decided not to appeal the ruling, leaving the future of the expansion project in doubt. According to Comic-Con International's David Glanzer, however nothing's certain at the moment.
"Any decision to remain in San Diego has always been based on a variety of issues, including hotel room rates, available meeting space and other concerns, none of which necessarily override the other. I’m grateful that the mayor, city officials, hoteliers and convention center staff have worked to help mitigate our space concerns and are happy that we have a continuous dialogue with those entities. We hope there will be a solution that allows Comic Con to stay in San Diego for years to come”.
It’s also rumored if the Con had to move it might be to Los Angles or Anaheim. It would be weird to see San Diego Comic-Con move seeing how it started there 30 years ago in 1991.

The Final Resident Evil Movie Postponed Due To Jovovich’s Pregnancy

Production on Resident Evil: The Final Chapter has been postponed to accommodate star Milla Jovovich's pregnancy, the actress revealed today via her Facebook page. Jovovich said “This was originally going to be a post to tell you how excited I am about flying to Cape Town, South Africa to begin working on Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. But… My husband Paul [W.S. Anderson, writer-director] and I just discovered that we are expecting another baby!!!
So after a lot of discussion, we thought it would be in everyone’s best interest to wait till the baby is born before we set out to try and tackle an RE movie. Between the stunt work and what will become my ever-expanding belly, we didn’t think pregnancy and zombie killing are the best combo! Lol! I imagine the only thing I’ll be killing in the near future is an endless supply of cupcakes. Yikes…
In all seriousness though, we want to make the best movie possible and that would be extremely difficult, to say the least, in my present condition. I would like to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who has been working so hard on the movie in South Africa already and we are so looking forward to working with you all next summer. And when we arrive, it will hopefully be with the newest member of our little family! YAY!
Before I go, i want to also send one more HUGE thank you out to all my amazing fans who have been so patient waiting for the next installment of the RE franchise! YOU ROCK! Thanks so much for understanding everyone! All the best!"
