Shin Hisako Coming To Killer Instinct This Month

Killer Instinct has teased a new character via Twitter, named Shin Hisako. This will be a different version of Hisako, Little is known yet about how Shin Hisako's gameplay will differ from her original version. In a tweet, Iron Galaxy designer Adam Heart said that Shin Hisako is "much more straightforward than Hisako, but still has some wrinkles." She also appears to have switched out her naginata for a katana. You can get a glimpse of her in the tweet below. Killer Instinct fans can look forward to seeing some of her gameplay at the KI World Cup this week, before the characters release sometime in March.

My Top 5 Games Of 2016

Before I begin with my Top 5, I’d like to point out that this list is based on my opinion and my opinion alone. I’m just giving my thoughts on games that I enjoyed this year.

5. Killer Instinct Season 3

Although this game was already released on Xbox One back in 2013, the game is new to Windows 10 PC users with the release of Season 3. Myself and many were hoping for a PC port when the game for first announced and it delivers 10 fold. The Killer Instinct series is rejuvenated thanks to Microsoft by redesigned old characters while giving us new ones to enjoy. Even if you’re just a casual fighting game fan like myself. With its combo assist mode it’s very casual friendly. Killer Instinct is definitely worth checking out, also were else are you gonna find a fighting game were you can play as a ninja, a mummy, a werewolf, a cyborg or even a demon ?

4. AM2R

As someone whos favorite Metroid game is Zero Mission and never got a chance to experience Metroid 2, AM2R is perfect in every way. From the sounds to the art to everything about this game, it made me feel how I did when I played Zero Mission for the first time. The game gives life to the Metroid series when it seems like Nintendo can’t. Between the discovery and boss battles you’ll see time fly right before your eyes, I know I did. If you haven’t played this game yet, I highly recommend that you do.

3. Uncharted 4

Uncharted 4 is simply breath taking, from its scenery to its motion capture. Nathan Drakes send off it full of excitement and adventure behind every corner. If you own a PS4 and you haven’t play this game yet, you’re seriously missing out.

2. DOOM

I’ll make it simple, DOOM is so f_cking METAL and it knows it. What was once old is new again, between its amazing combat awesome gore factor and killer soundtrack. You’ll find yourself grooving to the soundtrack as you’re slaying some demons. DOOM is 100% a must play.

1. Overwatch

I was excited was Overwatch was first announced back and Blizzcon 2014 but I never expected I’d love it as much as I do. From it’s diverse character roaster to the mystery be hide each character to it’s cool game modes. Each character is unique in there own special way and it’s hard not love love all of them. I know this game doesn’t have a story more, but there’s definitely a lot of lore to go around. As you should know by now, if you haven’t played this game you should give it a try, specially since Blizzard has free weekends for the game every now and then.

So those were my Top 5 Games of 2016. Here’s to an amazing 2017. It’s looking to be another amazing year for games, with Horizon Zero Dawn, Crash Bandicoot N’ Sane Trilogy, Injustice 2, Zelda: Breath of The Wild, Red Dead Redemption and the Nintendo Switch just to name a few things I’m excited for in new year. I’d like to give a “few” honorable mentions to some games that didn’t make the list but I still enjoyed.

Skylanders: Imaginators
Pokemon Moon
Street Fighter V
WWE 2K17
Telltale Batman
Pokken Tourement
Ratchet & Clank
Kirby: Planet Robobot
Deus Ex GO
Amplitude
Pokemon GO
Killing Floor 2
Let It Die

Secret Santa

Killer Instinct Fan Survey Featured A Crackdown Agent, Joanna Dark & More

Iron Galaxy and Microsoft Studios recently ran a fan poll for Killer Instinct, and asked what potential characters they'd like to see in the future. It included options like skins or character variants like "Shadow Orchid," along with several interesting guest character choices. That includes a Crackdown agent, a Halo Brute, and Joanna Dark from Perfect Dark. The survey is closed so you can't vote anymore, but we now have an idea of what Iron Galaxy wants to introduce in future seasons if there are any. I’m not sure how I’d feel if Killer Instinct became a fighting game filled with Microsoft character. A few guest characters here and there is cool, It’d be awesome to see Banjo & Kazooie. What do you think ?

Killer Instinct: Season 3’s New Character Selection Menu And Pre Order Date

During a Killer Instinct: Season 3 stream, Microsoft showed off the brand new Stage Selection menu for the first time. The menu now places all of the character icons at the bottom of the screen together. Rather than being divided by seasons, they maintain their order of release from Jago in Season 1 to Rash in Season 3. Microsoft and Iron Galaxy has found the solution to the issue of loading a characters when highlighted and selected. Now, when you highlight a character, you will only see a silhouette of the character in the background, but when you actually select the character, they will appear in the foreground. Also every character will have their own uniquely animated intro. I’m really digging the new stage Selection menu, its looks cleaner and is a big improvement. Whats interesting to me is that if the recent rumor about Mira and General RAAM is true, then there are only 2 more unknown characters for season 3. I really hope one of those characters is Gargos. In other Killer Instinct news, on March 18th, pre-orders for the Ultra Edition of Killer Instinct: Season 3 will become available on the Xbox store. Pricing and other info have yet to be announced. What do you think of all this Killer Instinct news ? Are you excited for Season 3 ? I know I am!

2 New Killer Instinct Characters Leaked

2 new characters may have just been leaked for Killer Instinct Season 3. The first character is Mira, who is rumored to Maya’s sister. The other character is General RAAM from Gears of War. He’ll be the 3rd guest character joined by the Arbiter from Halo and Rash from Battletoads. It’s cool to see another the character for a game, but I’m not sure how I feel about another guest character. Arbiter and Rash I could see, maybe after I see him in action I’ll change my mind. What do you  think of these leaked characters ?

The purpose of the Fund Raisers will be determined by the community on what they want to see in Season 3 that didn't make the cut by launch. Killer Instinct Season 3 Will Have New Composers, Celldweller and Atlus Plug

In a message on his Facebook page, Killer Instinct composer Mick Gordon surprised KI fans that he will not be composing music for Killer Instinct: Season 3.

“To my dearest Killer Instinct friends,
I give the greatest thanks to you all for your incredible support and trust with this kick ass fighting game. I’ve been a devoted fan of Killer Instinct for 22 years and it has been a dream, an honor and great privilege to be involved in the re-imagining of the Ultratech universe. The opportunity to dabble in the world laid down by Robin Beanland, Graeme Norgate and the rest of the exceptional team at Rare has been an absolute dream…

Friends, I’m sad to say that the time has come for me to move on to something new.
I’d like to shout out a massive heart-felt thanks to Double Helix Games, Microsoft and Iron Galaxy for allowing me to share in this truly amazing experience. These passionately dedicated teams have been an endless source of inspiration and they all share a deep, infectious love of the Killer Instinct universe. Speaking as a fan, we’ve all been incredibly lucky to have these groovy people behind the development of KI.

And to you, the fans that have made all this hard work and late-nights worthwhile, I thank you from the bottom of my linker-parry-windkick-quartercircle-monster-combo-heart. I’ve absolutely adored every tweet, forum post, email, FB message, letter, handshake, hug and fistbump. Your endless support and encouragement is the driving force behind the Killer Instinct sound. We do this for you. There would be no KI without you. Thank you. Keep blocking, spot those lights/mediums/heavies, trick a lock-out and go in for Ultra!!!

I’d also like to give a shout out to my fabulous team of collaborators, musicians, singers, lyricists, translators and engineers. Thanks to you all for lending your fabulous skills and knowledge to the Killer Instinct soundtrack!

I wish Iron Galaxy and Microsoft the very best with the future of KI and I’m incredibly excited to see (and play!) what’s in store for Season 3!!!
Party on, dudes!

ULLLLTRRAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!” - Mick Gordon

The new composers are Celldweller and Atlus Plug. This isn’t there first rodeo with video games either as they have done the music for such games as Project Gotham Racing, Dead Rising 2, and Crackdown. You can get a taste of what they can do by listening to the Battletoads Rash trailer. You can listen to the track below. Its sad to see Mick go, I loved what he did for Killer Instinct but as a Celldweller I can’t wait to see what him and Atlus Plug bring to the table. What do you think ?
