Alienware Reveals A Handheld Nintendo Switch Like PC Prototype, Concept UFO

During CES 2020, Alienware has announced Concept UFO. A handheld gaming PC that draws heavy inspiration from Nintendo Switch. The unit even features detachable left and right pieces that can be connected to create a controller that just happens to look like a UFO.
Alienware isn't revealing hardware specifics, discussing things like battery life, and isn’t commenting on whether this prototype will become a real product.
The prototype runs Windows 10, weighs roughly two pounds, and features an 8-inch 1200p display. The controllers connect to it through magnetic strips. The screen is equipped with a back-mounted kickstand that can be extended when the controller is removed. USB-C ports on the unit can be used for a variety of things, including connecting a keyboard and mouse.
If you’re at the show you can go by the Alienware booth and test out games like Rocket League, F1 2019, and Mortal Kombat 11 on the prototype.

Oculus Rift Ready PC Pre Orders Start On February 16

Oculus has announced 7 different Oculus Rift ready PCs will be available to pre-order starting next week. Dell, Alienware, and ASUS will be offering at least one model. All of the prices mentioned in the pictures below are before the $599 Oculus Rift purchase, which includes an Xbox One controller, wireless adapter, remote, camera, carrying case, and the head-mounted display. I don’t the Oculus Rift being a hit right out of the gate. Between how much the Rift cost and what kind of PC you’ll ned to run it all seems too expensive. What do you think ?

Alienware's Alpha Could Be The Gaming PC For You

Want a PC and have the portability of a console ? Well you can for $549 or more to get a living room friendly Windows PC with a custom interface designed to work with a Xbox 360 gamepad. Every system can play some modern titles thanks to GeForce GTX 860M graphics, but that base system comes with a modest Core i3 processor, 4GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive; you'll have to pay $699 if you want more memory and storage, and at least $799 if you want a faster CPU. This doesn't include a mouse and keyboard, either. Nonetheless, the Alpha could be a solid pick if a PS4 or Xbox One just won't cut it for you.
