With the game being readily available now the performance has been broken down. The super-fun title’s resolution is 720p when it docked mode and when played in handheld it is 480p. Just when you thought Crash Bandicoot™ N. Sane Trilogy couldn’t get any better, Activision is giving fans another reason to play Crash all summer long with the introduction of a brand-new level called “FUTURE TENSE”! On June 29, the Future Tense level will be included as a bonus in the Crash Bandicoot™ 3: Warped game of the Crash Bandicoot™ N. Sane Trilogy.
Developed by Vicarious Visions, Future Tense brings an extra layer of difficulty to Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped’s Future world, as players dodge rockets, destroy robots and leap over lasers while ascending a massive futuristic skyscraper. This brand-new level pays homage to the unreleased Waterfall level from the original Crash BandicootTM game. Soon franchise fans (and speed runners) will have something BRAND WUMPING NEW in Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy that will challenge even the most skillful Crash players.
Additionally, in Future Tense, Crash and Coco will take on some familiar enemies and hazards in new and fun ways. Players will love playing the heart-racing, high climbing level repeatedly to explore hidden areas and experience unexpected moments, including a challenging Death Route. Future Tense will be accessible via a new platform in the Warp Room of Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped, and playable at any point in the game’s progression.
“Adding a new level to Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy was something we always wanted to do, and introducing Future Tense allows us to give all Crash players something new to play just in time for the multi-platform release,” said Jennifer Oneal, Studio Head at Vicarious Visions.
“We hope Future Tense will allow players to re-experience that feeling from the good ‘ol days when they first cracked open a Crash Bandicoot game and had to figure out how to get past a brand-new challenge, or find that one last crate,” added Future Tense level designers Ben Dorsey and Stephen Ivanauskas. “And frankly, Crash Bandicoot levels are fun to make!”
In addition to Future Tense’s arrival to the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, fans on new platforms will also receive Stormy Ascent as a bonus level starting June 29th. Existing Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy owners on PlayStation®4 can download Stormy Ascent starting tomorrow as a bonus level at no additional charge from the PlayStation Store. Released last year on PlayStation®4, Stormy Ascent is the notoriously difficult, unfinished level from the original Crash Bandicoot game, finished and remastered to challenge the most hardened of Crash fans!

Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy, a remastered collection of the original Crash Bandicoot games, appears to have been just the beginning of the resurgence of everyone's favorite marsupial. According to the spring 2018 edition of the License Source Book Europe (page 97 to be exact), Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is coming to Nintendo Switch and PC sometime in 2018, as well as another title in 2019.
GB eye, a European supplier of licensed merchandise, noted that the success of the N. Sane Trilogy spurred a long-term plan for Crash Bandicoot games. "The new game [the N. Sane trilogy] was a huge success at retail ..." said Max Arguile, licensing manager of GB Eye. "Next year it will be going broader (Switch and PC) and there will be a new game in 2019. The latest NPD report has been released, which covers the month of July. NPD analyst Mat Piscatella says that the Nintendo Switch has outsold both the PS4 and Xbox One in July, Piscatella says that this was “driven by new inventory released in support of the launch of Splatoon 2”. Speaking of Splatoon 2, not only was it the top-selling game in July, but it is officially a “system seller”. This is because the increased stock of Switch units has allowed more people to finally buy the console, right on time for the release of Splatoon 2. Piscatella says that “Year to date, hardware spending has grown 20 percent versus 2016 to $1.6 billion. Performance of the Nintendo Switch continues to be the primary cause of the year-on-year gains”.
A new video of Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy is finding its way online, in which you can see Xbox One button prompts on the user interface for the game. Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy is thought to be a timed exclusive on PlayStation 4 (coming to PS4 and PS4 Pro first), because of the lack of the word “exclusive” any where on the box. So it’s only a matter of time before the collection, which includes Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Wrath of Cortex and Crash Bandicoot: Warped, appears on Xbox One. An official announcement confirming Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy for Xbox One hasn’t happened yet, so take this video with a gran of salt. But does this mean we’ll being seeing the game on other platforms within the coming months ? Thoughts ?

On the PlayStation Blog, you can find a discussion about the level between N. Sane Trilogy's director, Dan Tanguay, and the level's original designer, Taylor Kurosaki. The level is 4x longer than the typical Crash level, and was cut at the last minute due to its extreme difficulty. It was not entirely removed from the disc however, and fans were able to find the level using a Game Shark.
With the recently releasedCrash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, fans have noticed that the jumping physics have changed from the original Crash Bandicoot and Vicarious Visions have explained why. Activision editorial manager , Kevin Kelly, confirmed that, yes, Crash falls faster in the remake then he did in the past, but the control disparity is not a mistake or development shortcoming on Vicarious Visions' part, it was an intentional change. Crash Bandicoot is back and better than ever with the release of the N. Sane Trilogy for PlayStation 4. The remaster package comes with updated versions of Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back and Crash Bandicoot Warped. But, the real question is would Activision ever make a brand new entry in the series one day ? That could happen as Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg has teased. When speaking to GI.biz, Hirshberg said Activision is "experimenting" with Crash right now. He’s not sure yet if there is mass appeal for Crash or if the interest in the N. Sane Trilogy only comes from a smaller market of dedicated fans. "We know there's a vocal fanbase that wanted that to come back. But you never know if that is emblematic of a larger audience or just this niche, nostalgia-based community," he said. "So far, we are seeing some real passion for it, so that could lead to other things." Hirshberg went on to add, "Of course, we are always trying to find the next big thing. But our first priority is to make sure we are servicing the communities that we are already lucky enough to have." As long as Crash doesn’t go down the path of Titans or mind of mutant then bring on a new Crash Bandicoot game. Remaster CTR and the first 3 Spyro games while you’re at it.

Today during the PlayStation Experience press conference, we got a glimpse of the first gameplay trailer for the Crash Bandicoot collection. The collection, called the N. Sane Trilogy, will include remastered editions of Crash Bandicoot 1, 2, and 3: Warped. Game director of Vicarious Visions Dan Tanguay explains on the PlayStation blog that these new versions will have unified checkpointing and game save systems, such as both manual and auto saves. It will also have a new pause menu and time trials in all 3 games. Tanguay goes on saying that, "Using the original level geometry from Naughty Dog as a guide, we rebuilt the Crash gameplay from scratch, capturing its simplicity and precision. As the levels began to take shape, we layered in our own lush and zany art, animation, and audio." All levels, cinematics, and characters were rebuilt based off the original designs. Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will release in 2017 for PS4.
