The Last of Us Part II writer and director, Neil Druckmann, has confirmed that the game has been delayed. In a post on the PlayStation blog, it was announced that the game has a new release date of May 29. Druckmann states, “We realized we simply didn’t have enough time to bring the entire game up to a level of polish we would call Naughty Dog quality.” This may be disappointment, but as the get Shigeru Miyamoto once said, a delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad.

Troy Baker Say’s He Doesn’t Know Anything About The Last Of Us 2

The voice of Joel in The Last of Us (Troy Baker) has denied knowing anything about a sequel to the critically acclaimed game. During a panel at Indy PopCon, Troy Baker said he doesn't know if The Last of Us 2 will be a thing or not, seeming to contradict a claim made by Nolan North said earlier today. “I know they’re doing The Last of Us 2,” he says. However, given the events of that game, the character he played in the original won’t be making an appearance. Which is contrary to what Troy Baker has said. "I know nothing. I don't know if we're gonna do another one or not," he said. "If we do, then I trust Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley (who are he games directors) and everyone at Naughty Dog to tell a story that needs to be told. If Troy Backer knew anything why would he tell us anything ? People forget that these voices actors sign contracts and can’t talk about projects until there are told they can. As for Nolan North, I guess thats was just a slip of the tongue. Well just have to wait and see what happens as nothing is confirmed, though I’m not gonna lie, another The Last Of Us game would be awesome. What do you think ?

Is The Last Of Us 2 In Development ?

A sequel to Naughty Dog's The Last of Us could be in the works, if the resume of former Naughty Dog lead character artist Michael Knowland is to be believed. According to Knowland's LinkedIn profile, Naughty Dog had produced prototype designs for use in The Last of Us 2 earlier this year. Take this news with a grain of salt as developers are constantly prototyping designs for new games. Naughty Dog could just be testing out the ideas for The Last of Us 2, don't believe anything until it's confirmed. Though this is exciting news. The Last of Us creative director Neil Druckmann said in a Reddit AMA that there was a 50/50 chance of a sequel for The Last of Us.
