Nintendo Revels New 3DS Themes For Japan

Nintendo 3DS users can now preview the new themes heading to the handhelds with an upcoming firmware update on the official Japanese website showcasing the themes. The website shows 50 + confirmed themes, including Monster Hunter, Animal Crossing and Mario will be available at launch in Japan. With two free sets, themes generally range in price from 100 to 200 yen. 
The full list of currently confirmed themes follows:

  • Youkai Watch – 200 yen
  • Monster Hunter 4G (#1) – 200 yen
  • Monster Hunter 4G (#2) – 200 yen
  • Luigi – 200 yen
  • Yoshi – 200 yen
  • Mario – 200 yen

  • BlazBlue: Clone Phantasma – 100 yen

Customize You PS Vita With System Update 3.30


At Sony’s pre TGS ( Tokyo Game Show) press conference in Japan, PlayStation Vita’s new firmware 3.30 was amongst the many things that were talked about. One of the biggest features of 3.30 is the ability to add themes to your PS Vita. Not much else is know about the update and a release date is unknown at this time.

PlayStation 4 Gets Theme Support In Firmware Update 2.0

The news was revealed at Sony’s preTGS (Tokyo Game Show) press conference, that themes would finally be making it way over to the PS4. Themes let you change your background image, as well as the appearance of various icons, the PlayStation 3 has used themes for years and are what themes for PS4 are modeled after. Themes will come to PS4 in firmware update 2.0 which also will add features such as direct upload to YouTube, custom friend finding options and SharePlay. A release date for firmware update 2.0 is still unknown though it has been rumored to come out in the fall.
