Samsung's 2022 TV Lineup Will Include Stadia And GeForce Now

Samsung has announced that Stadia, Nvidia GeForce Now, and Utomik would be supported on their future 2022 televisions.

Samsung announced these new data and features in a press statement issued over the weekend at the Consumer Electronics Show. The Samsung Gaming Hub will be available on all of the TVs, allowing owners to access video game-related services such as Stadia and more.

“Powered by Tizen, the Samsung Gaming Hub is a new game streaming discovery platform that bridges hardware and software to provide a seamless player experience,” a press release reads. “Samsung also announced partnerships with leading game streaming services – Nvidia GeForce Now, Stadia, and Utomik, with more to come – to bring their full libraries of games to the Gaming Hub.”

This hub will be accessible on select Samsung smart TV models in 2022, according to Samsung.

Alienware Reveals A Handheld Nintendo Switch Like PC Prototype, Concept UFO

During CES 2020, Alienware has announced Concept UFO. A handheld gaming PC that draws heavy inspiration from Nintendo Switch. The unit even features detachable left and right pieces that can be connected to create a controller that just happens to look like a UFO.

Alienware isn't revealing hardware specifics, discussing things like battery life, and isn’t commenting on whether this prototype will become a real product. 

The prototype runs Windows 10, weighs roughly two pounds, and features an 8-inch 1200p display. The controllers connect to it through magnetic strips. The screen is equipped with a back-mounted kickstand that can be extended when the controller is removed. USB-C ports on the unit can be used for a variety of things, including connecting a keyboard and mouse.

If you’re at the show you can go by the Alienware booth and test out games like Rocket League, F1 2019, and Mortal Kombat 11 on the prototype. 

The Galaxy S10 And Note 10 Lite Are Cheaper Versions For Samsung's Flagships

Samsung has announced the Galaxy S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite, two phones which the company claims will be more affordable takes on its 2019 flagships. Both devices feature 6.7-inch bezel-less AMOLED display with a cutout for a 32-megapixel selfie camera. As a result, the S10 Lite features a bigger display than either the S10 or S10+, which had 6.1-inch and 6.4-inch displays respectively. 

As for the Note 10 Lite, its display slots in between the Note 10 and Note 10+'s 6.3-inch and 6.8-inch screens. Although, the biggest difference between all the displays is that the screens of the two Lite phones are lower resolution 1080p panels, instead of QHD panels like on Samsung's flagships. The phones feature a massive 4,500mAh capacity batteries, the lower resolution displays should help with battery life. It's also worth pointing out Samsung hasn't said whether the screen it sourced for the Lite models features HDR10 support. For biometric authentication, the phones include both an in-display fingerprint sensor and face recognition.

Both phones include triple main camera arrays, though they differ in the types of lenses they offer. The S10 Lite includes a 48-megapixel wide-angle, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide and a 5-megapixel macro camera. The Note 10, meanwhile, features a 12-megapixel wide, 12-megapixel telephoto and 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera. Notably, neither phone features the variable aperture main lens of Samsung's flagships. In another design change from Samsung's earlier models, both the S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite have square camera bumps, instead of the horizontal ones of their predecessors.

One area where the two phones differ is that they feature different processors. Samsung hasn't said the exact model of chip that's in each phone, but the S10 Lite includes a 7-nanometer octa-core processor, while the Note 10 Lite features a 10-nanometer octa-core chip. Depending on the market and operator, the phones will include either 6GB or 8GB RAM to support their processors.

When it comes to storage, the two phones come with 128GB standard, with no option to buy more built-in storage. However, both models include microSD expandability, allowing you to add as much as 1TB of additional storage to the phones. 

The company will sell the S10 Lite in three colors -- "Prism White," "Prism Black" and "Prism Blue." The Note 10 Lite will be available in three colors, as well: "Aura Glow," "Aura Black" and "Aura Red."

Razer's Nommo PC Gaming Speakers Features Chroma Lighting

Gaming peripheral maker Razer announced 3 new speakers for at CES. The Nommo speakers are equipped with the company's Chroma lighting system, to let you visually customize your gaming space with light. The Nommo Pro is THX-certified, features premium 2.1 speaker system with Dolby virtual 5.1 surround sound. Razer says its main drivers are covered with Kevlar and its tweeters are woven with silk for solid mids and smooth, balanced highs, while the cylindrical subwoofer moves the air downward to provide a deep bottom end. The Nommo Pro has USB, optical, Bluetooth and standard audio ports into a control pod separate from the speakers. You can customize the EQ via a mobile app as well, while the Chroma light settings can be changed in the Synapse 3 PC app. Nommo speaker is a bit more basic, with two three-inch woven glass fiber drivers with bass ports in the back. There's also a Chroma-enabled Nommo, too, so you can change colors on the fly for $150. The Nommo and Nommo Chroma will be available this month, while the Nommo Pro will sell for $500 and is yet to be scheduled for release.

Razer's Project Linda Turns Your Razer Phone Into A Laptop

During CES 2018, Razer has unveiled a new laptop/smartphone hybrid concept called Project Linda. The device is powered by the Android-based Razer Phone and features a 13.3-inch laptop design. Project Linda, Razer aims to provide an experience that blends "the familiar Android environment with the ease-of-use of a laptop." With Project Linda you’ll dock the Razer Phone inside the laptop's frame, where a touchpad would be located. With the press of a button, the phone is transformed into an Android laptop, with the phone's 5.7-inch display able to function as a touchpad or second screen. A mouse can also be connected for more precise control. Also, Project Linda features a full-size keyboard with Razer Chroma backlighting, a 13.3-inch Quad HD touchscreen, and a 53.6 Wh internal battery that charges the phone while docked. Inside its aluminum chassis, which is 15mm thin and weighs less than three pounds including the phone, is 200 GB of storage. It also features a 720p webcam, a dual-array microphone, a 3.5-millimeter audio jack, a USB-A port, and a USB-C charging port.

Razer’s Project Valerie Is A Triple Screen Gaming Laptop

During CES 2017, Razer revealed Project Valerie, a 17-inch triple-screen gaming laptop. The laptop has a slightly thick form factor coming in at around 1.5-inches, and once opened, a proprietary set of hinges deploy to reveal three monitors, equally sized at 17.3-inches and each sporting up to 4K resolution with G-SYNC enabled. When the screens are fully deployed, the laptop gives users a resolution of 11,520 x 2160. Powering the laptop is the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card, so theoretically you can travel with your VR headset. Project Valerie weighs less than 12 pounds, which makes it one of the heaviest high-end gaming laptops. However, that 12 pounds of tech gets you desktop performance and three 17.3-inch screens. a price is unknown at this time as this is just a prototype. This seems like the king of kings when it comes to gaming laptops. The power, the screens, everything about this laptop is absolutely awesome. The real question is, how much is this gonna cost ?

Revealed at CES 2017, the Pico Neo CV is a VR headset that doesn’t need to be connected to a PC, console, or smartphone, and will be available later this year. Pico Technology's VR headset is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and Snapdragon VR SDK. It also features 2 1.5K at 90Hz displays, a built in Hi-Fi speaker, and motion tracking. Apps and games were not announced for the VR headset at this time. This sounds great, I hope this brings us closer to having ever VR headset wireless. Thoughts ?

Google Rumored To Team Up With Ford To Work On A Self Driving Car

Google is reportedly teaming up with Ford to make a self-driving car that will combine Ford’s vehicles with Google’s technology. According to sources supposedly familiar with the plans, the deal will be announced at next year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January. The deal is said to be non-exclusive, and Google is talking to several other manufacturers in the automotive industry about similar team-ups. What do you think of a Google Ford self-driving car ?

PlayStation Now Comes To Samsung Smart TV’s in 2015

Sony Computer Entertainment and Samsung have partnered to bring game streaming to Smart TV's in 2015. The PlayStation Now service, which will allow TV owners to play hundreds of PlayStation 3 games streamed from the cloud, will be an app included in Samsung's Smart Hub. Games will be played using a Dualshock 4 controller, which will be sold separately. The TV version of PlayStation Now will let players earn trophies, play online. All game saves are uploaded and downloaded from the cloud. We’ll likely hear more about PlayStation Now with Samsung TV’s at CES, The Consumer Electronics Show on January 6 through 9 in Las Vegas .
