Razer's Newest Gaming Keyboard Can Survive A Spilled Drink

Ever knock your drink the wrong way and your keyboard was toast ? That won't be as much of a problem in the future, as Razer has unveiled a new version of its BlackWidow Ultimate with IP54 water and dust resistance. While the rating doesn't mean you can dunk the keyboard in the pool, it's good enough that your gaming session won't be ruined by a splash. Beyond that, you're getting Razer's mechanical switches with 10-key anti-ghosting and full programming support. You're limited to green lighting, but you can still create lighting effects like ripples and waves. The new Blackwidow is available online right now for $110 and should spread to stores worldwide before the year is over.

Samsung Gives The Galaxy Note 5 A Keyboard Cover

Today at their Unpacked event, Samsung has unveiled a Keyboard Cover for the Galaxy Note 5 that gives you both a cover and a physical keyboard for those who prefer one. There are navigation buttons to replace the capacitive ones you will lose with the case on. Pricing is not known at this time, we will updated when we know more. What do you think of this cover ? Tori Making Mouse & Keyboard For PS4

According to an Amazon UK listing, peripheral maker Hori is prepping a PS4/PS3 keyboard and mouse combo this fall, which looks like a PC setup. The site shows that the  peripheral will release on October 9 for approximately £86, and the controller features a programmable keyboard with separate buttons for the normal PlayStation face buttons, L3, a touch pad, d-pad, dedicated walk button, and more. The keyboard and mouse are connected via USB, obviously. Unfortunately a release date for the U.S. has not been announced yet. Could this change the way we play games on consoles ? Could this make PC gamers switch to PS4 ? What do you think ? 

Phorm - A Different Way To Type On A Touch Screen

Tactus Technology is introducing a interesting new keyboard case today called Phorm that promises to bring tactile feedback to the typing experience while still using the touch screen keyboard. Phorm uses microfluids to raise a segments of a screen protector kept on with a frame and protective case to apply physical keys that appear and disappear at the swipe of switch. The goal is to improve typing speed and accuracy when typing with the iPad without requiring a keyboard you have to charge or pair with your tablet. While the Phorm case adds tactile feedback to typing for use in portrait mode, it’s not designed to support tactile typing for landscape typing with the larger keyboard. The case is also only designed for use with Apple’s stock keyboard. Tactus is only targeting the 7.9-inch iPad mini with its first run of Phorm cases for Apple hardware while Phorm keyboard case won’t yet support the 9.7-inch iPad lineup, but that includes all three generations of the iPad mini. Anyone interested in Phorm for other devices including the iPhone 6 and iPad Air can vote on the company’s website.
