Latias, Latios, Kyogre & Groudon Available As Research Breakthrough Encounters Starting July 1st

According to The Pokemon GO blog there will be 4 legendary Pokemon appearing in Research Breakthrough encounters from July 1st until September 1st. These four legendaries are Latias, Latios, Kyogre, and Groudon. Here’s all the details direct from the official blog:

Field Research Updates

• From July 1, 2019, at 1 p.m. PDT to September 1, 2019, at 1 p.m. PD , Latias, Latios, Kyogre, and Groudon will be available as Research Breakthrough encounters.
• Spinda sporting a new pattern will be available in Field Research, and if you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny one!

EX Raid Updates

• Starting on June 23, 2019, at 8 a.m. PDT, Trainers who receive EX Raid Passes will encounter Speed Forme Deoxys in EX Raids!

Are you new to EX Raids? You can become eligible to receive an EX Raid Pass when you win a Raid Battle at a qualifying Gym! To see whether a Gym can host EX Raids, take a look at the Gym’s details. If you triumph in a qualifying Raid Battle and receive an invitation to an EX Raid, you can check your EX Raid Pass for the date and time when you’ll be able to challenge Speed Forme Deoxys.

Pokémon Go's Water Festival Returns

Pokémon Go's Water Festival event has returned. Players will encounter water-type Pokémon more frequently, and can complete Field Research tasks focused on water-types. Players can also earn 3X Stardust for catching water Pokémon, and earn double candy and Stardust for hatching eggs. Water Pokémon will appear more frequently in raid battles, including the return of legendary Pokémon Kyogre. There's also a chance players will encounter a Shiny Kyogre. Shellder also receives a shiny form starting with this event. The Water Festival event runs until June 21. 

Kyogre And Groudon Join Rayquaza For Raid Battles In Pokemon GO

The official Pokemon GO blog is reporting that  the Legendary Pokemon Kyogre And Groudon will be available to catch in the popular mobile title until March 5th. Here’s all the details you need to know from the official blog:

“Now is the time to test your strength! Legendary Pokémon Kyogre and Groudon return to Raid Battles alongside Rayquaza for a limited time. Now is an excellent chance to finally catch all three ancient Legendary Pokémon originally discovered in the Hoenn region!

Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza each have their own strengths and weaknesses, so challenging all three will take skill! Power up your strongest Pokémon, grab your friends, and head to nearby Gyms for a chance to battle and catch them from February 23 until March 5.

We’re in for some legendary battles, and the overall result will be exciting! If Rayquaza is defeated more than Kyogre and Groudon combined, Pokémon that typically prefer windy weather (for example, Bagon) are more likely to hatch from Eggs from March 5 to March 16. If not, Pokémon that prefer sunny or rainy weather (like Trapinch or Lotad) are more likely to hatch.

Kyogre Now Appearing In Pokemon GO Raids

The legendary water Pokemon Kyogre from Pokemon Sapphire, is now appearing in raid battles in Pokemon GO. This will be for a limited time running from now up until 14th February 2018 at 1:00 PM. The legendary Pokemon Groudon will stop appearing as a raid battle on 15th January.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Get Steel Books

Nintendo has announced a pre order incentive of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire in the form of limited edition Steel books, along with figures of the Pokemon featured on the cover. Currently this offer has only been announced of the UK. Both Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are due to be released November 21 for 3DS.
