MediEvil Remake Releasing In October

During the latest State of Play, Sony revealed some new footage from the MediEvil remake. We got to see the game in action and we finally got a release date. Just in time for some spooky halloween festivities, MediEvil releases for PS4 on October 25. 

Next Sony State Of Play Will Feature MediEvil And A New Game

Sony has announced that the second State of Play presentation will be taking place on Thursday, May 9 at 3PM PT/6 PM ET. It’s says to only be 10 minutes long, and the episode will feature an extended look at the MediEvil remake and a new title.

We'll have to wait and see exactly what the new game is, but Sony is already saying it won't involve the next PlayStation. The State of Play announcement specifically says: "Don't expect any updates relating to our next-generation plans this time. Sorry!"

MediEvil Is Getting Remastered For PS4

During this year's PSX keynote, CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment America Shawn Layden revealed that Sony is remastering MediEvil. MediEvil is a classic platforming, action series that combined fantasy with humor. The brief trailer at the end of Layden's announcement didn't showcase much except that the game would be coming to PS4, be in 4K, and that more details would be available "soon."
