PlayStation State Of Play Happening On March 9th

PlayStation has announced a State of Play event for tomorrow, March 9, at 2 p.m. PT/4 p.m. CT/5 p.m. ET, with an emphasis on titles from Japanese publishers.

This information comes from a new blog post published today, which claims that the State of Play will last around 20 minutes. It will focus on titles from Japanese companies, but PlayStation promises that there will be a few updates from foreign studios as well. Here's the announcement from the PlayStation Blog:

"A new State of Play is upon us! Join us this Wednesday, March 9, at 2 p.m. Pacific/5 p.m. Eastern/ 11 p.m. CET for new reveals and eye-catching updates for PS5 and PS4 titles. Note: We won't have any updates on PlayStation VR2 titles or hardware in this broadcast. The show is clocking in around 20 minutes, give or take, with a special focus on highlighting great games coming from some of our beloved Japanese publishers, though we'll have a few updates from other developers located around the world, too." 

PlayStation will broadcast the State of Play stream on both its YouTube and Twitch accounts.

Gran Turismo 7 State Of Play Coming This Week

This week, PlayStation will show a State of Play dedicated to Gran Turismo 7.

This is the first State of Play of 2022, and it promises over 30 minutes of brand new PlayStation 5 footage from the racing sim. It will also provide fresh information on GT7, which is set to release on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on March 4th.

“The first 2022 State of Play arrives later this week, and we’re all revved up for just over 30 minutes of new PS5 footage and gameplay details for Gran Turismo 7,” a PlayStation Blog post reads. “Watch live February 2 on Twitch or YouTube starting 2 p.m. Pacific/ 5 p.m. Eastern/ 11 p.m. CET.” 

PlayStation State Of Play Happening On October 27th

Sony has announced a State of Play. According
to the PlayStation Blog, the impending State of Play will premiere on Wednesday, October 27 at 2 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET. This time around the show is "focusing on announcements and updates for upcoming third-party releases headed to PS5 and PS4." It's unclear if the upcoming releases are for this year or next, but what we do know is the showcase is scheduled to be about 20 minutes long and will feature "new looks at previously announced games, plus a few reveals from our partners around the world."This State of Play can be watched on PlayStation's YouTube and Twitch channels. 

State Of Play For July 2021 Coming July 8th

Sony has announced a new PlayStation State of Play is on the way. This Thursday, July 8th, PlayStation fans can look forward to a few different announcements as well as a deeper dive into Arkane's Deathloop. 

The upcoming State of Play is set for 2 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET. The showcase is expected to last approximately 30 minutes long and will include 9 minutes of new Deathloop footage. Also included will be a lineup of indie titles that are on their way, as well as more news on upcoming third-party adventures, as well. 

Sony said that there will be no new God of War 2 information revealed and that there will be nothing to share on Horizon Forbidden West. The company also confirmed that PSVR 2, this generation's iteration of VR on the PlayStation platform, will not be present either, though Sony did add that it will have "more updates soon" regarding the aforementioned properties throughout the Summer. 

Horizon Forbidden West State Of Play Happening Tomorrow

A new PlayStation State of Play is on the horizon. The highly anticipated sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn (Forbidden West) promises new action, gorgeous new locales, and so much more, and we'll finally get to see some of that stunning gameplay tomorrow.

The latest PlayStation State of Play kicks off on May 27 at 2 p.m. Pacific / 4 p.m. Central. Forbidden West game director Mathijs de Jonge promises 20 minutes of exclusive content, including 14 minutes of brand-new gameplay that has never been seen before. All of the gameplay shown will be shown on PlayStation 5.

A PS4 And PSVR Focused State Of Play Is Happening This Week

Sony has announced that a State of Play livestream will be taking place this week, with a focus on current hardware. So don’t expect to learn anything new about PlayStation 5.

The State of Play starts at 1 PM Pacific / 4 PM Eastern this Thursday on Sony's official Twitch and YouTube channels and will run about 40 minutes. Sony says viewers will get some new information on several PS4 and PSVR games, in addition to updates on some of the third-party and indie titles that were shown during the June 11 State of Play.

The Last Of Us Part 2 State Of Play Happening On May 27th

PlayStation has announced a State of Play focused on The Last of Us Part 2 will take place on Wednesday, May 27 at 1pm PT/4pm ET/9pm BST.

Naughty Dog vice president and The Last of Us Part 2 director Neil Druckmann will "walk you through details of the gameplay experience and story."

Also, it is said to run for a little more than 20 minutes and will end with an "extended sequence showing off about eight minutes of never-before-seen gameplay."

Limited Edition Death Stranding PS4 Pro Bundle Releases Same Day As Game

During the PlayStation State of Play for September 2019, Sony revealed a limited-edition Death Stranding PS4 Pro bundle. According to the PlayStation Blog, the bundle costs $400 and includes a special console and controller, along with a physical copy of Death Stranding. It will be available on November 8, the day that Death Stranding releases.

New State of Play Stream Happening This Week

Sony have revealed that the next State of Play broadcast is happening on September 24. Predator: Hunting Grounds Coming To PS4 In 2020 (UPDATE)

UPDATE - Predator: Hunting Grounds will release for PS4 on April 24, 2020. Those who pre-order can unlock a special '87 Skin for Predator and gain early access to the "Ole Painless" minigun from the movie.

During the latest State of Play, Sony revealed a new game from there Worldwide Studios. Predator: Hunting Grounds, from developer illfonic is a an asymmetric multiplayer shooter, where one player takes control of the stronger unit while every other player is a weaker but more numerous unit. The short trailer just shows a group of soldiers pacing around a jungle when an invisible Predator is standing on a tree above them. 

On the PlayStation Blog, illFonic gave a few more details beyond what was in the video, confirming that idea.

"One group of players will control members of an elite Fireteam who pack state-of-the-art conventional firepower, from shotguns and SMGs to sniper rifles and more," the blog reads. "Meanwhile, one player will control the Predator: a stealthy, acrobatic killing machine bristling with exotic alien technology such as the infamous Plasmacaster. As the Fireteam attempt to carry out paramilitary missions – annihilating bad guys and recovering important items – the Predator will be closing in, using its advanced vision mode to track and ambush its prey."

Predatory: Hunting Grounds will release on PlayStation 4 in 2020.

MediEvil Remake Releasing In October

During the latest State of Play, Sony revealed some new footage from the MediEvil remake. We got to see the game in action and we finally got a release date. Just in time for some spooky halloween festivities, MediEvil releases for PS4 on October 25. 

New Final Fantasy VII Remake Footage Revealed, More To Come In June

During the latest State of Play, Sony revealed some new Final Fantasy VII Remake footage, showing off some iconic moments and characters, as well as more of the battle system. We haven’t seen or heard anything about the game since PlayStation Experience 2016. Watch the trailer for yourself below. There's a lot to unpack, and they’re more to ben revealed in June. That most likely alludes to Square Enixs E3 presentation.  

Next Sony State Of Play Will Feature MediEvil And A New Game

Sony has announced that the second State of Play presentation will be taking place on Thursday, May 9 at 3PM PT/6 PM ET. It’s says to only be 10 minutes long, and the episode will feature an extended look at the MediEvil remake and a new title.

We'll have to wait and see exactly what the new game is, but Sony is already saying it won't involve the next PlayStation. The State of Play announcement specifically says: "Don't expect any updates relating to our next-generation plans this time. Sorry!"

Marvel’s Iron Man VR Is Coming To PSVR In 2019 (Now Coming in 2020)

During Sony’s State of Play presentation an Iron Man VR game was announced.

The tease was mostly non-gameplay with Tony Stark in an airplane, but it ended with first-person flying/shooting against a non-descript bad guy. The game is said to be coming to PS4 for PSVR in 2019. 

UPDATE: October 2019 - Iron Man VR will be coming to PSVR on February 28, 2020.

Sony Announces State Of Play, Expect New PS4 And PSVR Announcements

Sony might be skipping out on E3, but will soon see what’s in store for the company. On March 25, Sony will debut the first episode of State of Play, a live stream that focuses on new PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR announcements (a la Nintendo Direct anyone ?). The show kicks off at 2 PM PST / 5 PM EDT, and will feature trailers, announcements, and new gameplay footage. You can tune on Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook.
