The Last Of Us Part II Gameplay Trailer Was Amazing
During Sony's E3 conference, we got a look at The Last Of Us Part II, offering the world a glimpse of how the sequel will actually play, as well as Ellie's whereabouts. Here's some of the things I noticed from the trailer:
- When the scene opens, we see an older Ellie. It's not quite clear how much older, but she seems to be an adult now. She has a friend named Jesse and a romantic interest named Dina.
- Jesse refers to Ellie's "old man" at one point, implying that Joel is alive at this point in the story.
- Cover is more than just cover. At one point, Ellie crawls under a truck, using it to hide. This happens not as a cutscene but as a direct action from the player.
- Though this can obviously change before release, the UI and menus from the first game look to be the same here as far as health and the quick-access menu go.
- In the original game, when you picked up ammo and arrows, it was quick movement, with the character stuffing ammo laying neatly on the ground in their pockets. The action seems to be a little more realistic here, with Ellie literally pulling an arrow out of a corpse to stuff in her quiver.

Naughty Dog Responds To Former Employee Sexual Harassment Claim
Former Naughty Dog employee David Ballard came forward on social media, saying that he had been sexually harassed by a lead at the company in 2015. Naughty Dog has released an official statement which can be read below:
We have recently read on social media that an ex-employee of Naughty Dog, Dave Ballard, claims he was sexually harassed when he worked at Naughty Dog. We have not found any evidence of having received allegations from Mr. Ballard that he was harassed in any way at Naughty Dog or Sony Interactive Entertainment. Harassment and inappropriate conduct have no place at Naughty Dog and Sony Interactive Entertainment. We have taken and always will take reports of sexual harassment and other workplace grievances very seriously. We value every single person who works at Naughty Dog and Sony interactive Entertainment. It is of utmost importance to us that we maintain a safe, productive workplace environment that allows us all to channel our shared passion for making games.
Ballard was environmental and level design artist at Naughty Dog since 2009, claims this sexual harassment occurred in 2015. Ballard claims that upon explaining the situation to PlayStation HR, he says he was terminated and offered $20,000 to keep quiet. You can view a number of his tweets by clicking here.
I don’t know what to think of this. I don’t want to believe something like this would happen with Naughty Dog, but with sexual harassment claims being relieved left and right the past few days, I’m not sure what to believe. What are your thoughts ?

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Likely Won’t Be The Last Uncharted Game
"I wouldn't say it's the end. This thieving world is huge. There's so many characters. Even before we settled on [Lost Legacy's] story we were exploring Sullivan, we were exploring Cutter, and pairing each other up, thinking what would be right, what would have conflict, growth, something new, something fresh. And Chloe was the one that kept jumping out."
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy releases on August 22 for PS4.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Might Be 10 Hours Long
In a recent interview with IBTimes, Naughty Dog director of communications Arne Mayer explained that the studio had been asked whether it would make a single-player expansion for Uncharted before, but always felt the impulse to make a full-length game:
"There's no way we could, sort of, constrict and restrain ourselves," said Mayer, "and that's exactly what was happening here. When we were doing story pitches, we were coming up with a game that would be over ten hours long and so we suddenly realized everything we said was true and we couldn't keep it short."
It seems more than likely that The Lost Legacy will be more substantial than Naughty Dog's last story expansion as The Lost Legacy is said to be around 10 hours. In comparison, The Last of Us: Left Behind was around 2-3 hours. Thoughts ?
