My Top 5 Games Of 2016

Before I begin with my Top 5, I’d like to point out that this list is based on my opinion and my opinion alone. I’m just giving my thoughts on games that I enjoyed this year.

5. Killer Instinct Season 3

Although this game was already released on Xbox One back in 2013, the game is new to Windows 10 PC users with the release of Season 3. Myself and many were hoping for a PC port when the game for first announced and it delivers 10 fold. The Killer Instinct series is rejuvenated thanks to Microsoft by redesigned old characters while giving us new ones to enjoy. Even if you’re just a casual fighting game fan like myself. With its combo assist mode it’s very casual friendly. Killer Instinct is definitely worth checking out, also were else are you gonna find a fighting game were you can play as a ninja, a mummy, a werewolf, a cyborg or even a demon ?

4. AM2R

As someone whos favorite Metroid game is Zero Mission and never got a chance to experience Metroid 2, AM2R is perfect in every way. From the sounds to the art to everything about this game, it made me feel how I did when I played Zero Mission for the first time. The game gives life to the Metroid series when it seems like Nintendo can’t. Between the discovery and boss battles you’ll see time fly right before your eyes, I know I did. If you haven’t played this game yet, I highly recommend that you do.

3. Uncharted 4

Uncharted 4 is simply breath taking, from its scenery to its motion capture. Nathan Drakes send off it full of excitement and adventure behind every corner. If you own a PS4 and you haven’t play this game yet, you’re seriously missing out.

2. DOOM

I’ll make it simple, DOOM is so f_cking METAL and it knows it. What was once old is new again, between its amazing combat awesome gore factor and killer soundtrack. You’ll find yourself grooving to the soundtrack as you’re slaying some demons. DOOM is 100% a must play.

1. Overwatch

I was excited was Overwatch was first announced back and Blizzcon 2014 but I never expected I’d love it as much as I do. From it’s diverse character roaster to the mystery be hide each character to it’s cool game modes. Each character is unique in there own special way and it’s hard not love love all of them. I know this game doesn’t have a story more, but there’s definitely a lot of lore to go around. As you should know by now, if you haven’t played this game you should give it a try, specially since Blizzard has free weekends for the game every now and then.

So those were my Top 5 Games of 2016. Here’s to an amazing 2017. It’s looking to be another amazing year for games, with Horizon Zero Dawn, Crash Bandicoot N’ Sane Trilogy, Injustice 2, Zelda: Breath of The Wild, Red Dead Redemption and the Nintendo Switch just to name a few things I’m excited for in new year. I’d like to give a “few” honorable mentions to some games that didn’t make the list but I still enjoyed.

Skylanders: Imaginators
Pokemon Moon
Street Fighter V
WWE 2K17
Telltale Batman
Pokken Tourement
Ratchet & Clank
Kirby: Planet Robobot
Deus Ex GO
Amplitude
Pokemon GO
Killing Floor 2
Let It Die

Secret Santa

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Delayed Again And Multiplayer Stress Test

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End has once again been delayed (sigh). Sony and Naughty Dog have delayed the game 2 weeks to May 10, 2016. On PlayStation Blog, PlayStation's Shawn Layden said in a post, "In an effort to meet the considerable worldwide demand, and to ensure that all gamers worldwide have the opportunity to play the game on day one, we have chosen to postpone the launch of the game by two weeks to allow for extra manufacturing time." "We know this news might be disappointing, and we are sorry to have to make you wait a little longer to play Naughty Dog’s latest. The good news is that the game is phenomenal, we are fully confident that it will be worth the wait and the team at Naughty Dog is eager as ever for you to experience Nathan Drake’s final adventure."

In other news, an Uncharted 4 multiplayer stress test is coming this weekend. The stress test will take place from March 4 9AM PT until March 6 11:59PM PT. The best part of this test is that PlayStation Plus is not required. I know its only 2 weeks but all these delays are starting to get to me. But I rather have another delay then a broken game. What do you think of Uncharted 4 getting delayed again ?
