Death Stranding Director's Cut Gets A PC Release This Spring

Death Stranding received a director's cut version with some added goodies in July. It was released in September for PlayStation 5. This version will be available to PC gamers in the Spring of 2022, nearly two years after the main game was released on Windows.

For the PC version of Death Stranding Director's Cut, Intel's Xe Super Sampling will be used to reportedly boost performance, graphical fidelity, and frame rates. If that's a worry of yours, ultra-wide displays will be supported as well. As indicated by Kojima, the game will be released on both the Epic Game Store and Steam at the same time. Director's Cut will have the same add-ons as the PS5 version, including additional weaponry, missions, boss encounters, and a racing mode.

Beyond the broad "Spring 2022" timeframe, no specific date has been set.

Hideo Kojima Isn’t A Fan Of The Director’s Cut Name For Death Stranding

Death Stranding Director's Cut offers more to experience in the game for those that loved Hideo Kojima's breakout title from his new video game studio. While the game itself says "director's cut" in the title, Kojima believes fans shouldn’t look at it as on.

In a recent Twitter thread, Kojima told fans that Death Stranding's Director's Cut isn't what the definition of director's cut means, instead it's more sporadic expansions that have been filtered in for a more complete experience. "A director's cut in a movie is an additional edit to a shortened version that was either released reluctantly because the director did not have the right to edit it, or because the running time had to be shortened," he said. "In the game, it is not what was cut, but what was additionally produced that was included. Delector's Plus? So, in my opinion, I don't like to call this 'director's cut'."

Death Stranding Director's Cut is set to drop on September 24 with 60 fps on console and other enhancements made for PlayStation 5.

There hasn’t been much Death Stranding news sine The Game Awards in December 2017, now thanks an Instagram photo posted by an actress we know some new info. The New Death Stranding Trailer Is Beautiful And Weird In The Best Way

During The Game Awards 2016, a new trailer for Death Stranding was featured and gave people another bizarre taste of what Kojima Productions has in store. Much like the trailer at E3, there's a sense of bending reality and the surreal. This new trailer confirms that Mads Mikkelsen will have a role in the title along with Guillermo del Toro. Thoughts ?

Kojima Productions Released A Logo Video

Over the weekend Kojima Production released a 30 second trailer that shows off their mascot, Ludens, which features the character walking across the surface of some unknown planet, planting a flag into the ground, a whale breaches and then digitizes into thin air. Things are looking good for Kojima and though we probably won’t see Death Standing until 2020 at the latest, I’m excited to learn and see more things from Kojima Production. What do you think ?

Kojima Blows Minds With The Announcement Of Death Stranding

During Sony’s E3 2016 press conference, Hideo Kojima took to the stage to show the debut trailer of his PS4 title Death Stranding. The trailer and the game star Norman Reedus, whom Kojima worked with on the cult classic P.T. demo. The demo gives of a P.T. vibe, though I can’t tell if that’s because of Norman Reedus or the creepy stuff in the trailer. What do you think of Death Stranding ?
