Outlast 2 Coming To Nintendo Switch On March 27th

Outlast: Bundle of Terror is now on the Nintendo Switch eShop but many were wondering about the sequel, Outlast 2. It looks like the game is coming to the Nintendo Switch eShop on March 27th for $29.99.

In a surprising move, developer Red Barrels has released Outlast: Bundle Of Terror on the Nintendo Switch eShop. The Bundle includes the full game and its prequel content titled Whistleblower for $24.99. You can go download it now and immerse yourself in the nightmare.

Outlast And Outlast 2 Coming To Nintendo Switch In 2018

Horror titles Outlast and Outlast 2 will be arriving on the Nintendo Switch next year and both games should satisfy those with a horror itch. The developer behind the game shared on Facebook that they would be arriving sometime early next year and also shared the development photo you can view below.

“It’s time for a little status update from us.

First off, we wanted to take a moment to thank all of you that have bought Outlast 2 and have been supporting the studio for more than 5 years now. Red Barrels was nothing more than a dream, but with a lot of blood, sweat and beers it has now become a small, fully independent studio with a kickass team who can work miracles.

We strive to create unique experiences and take risks. Hopefully, we’ll manage to entertain you for years to come.

About the future, many of you have been requesting a DLC. While the first Outlast was made with the idea of a DLC in mind, that was not the case for Outlast 2. We’ve considered many options, but none of them felt appropriate for a DLC. Outlast 2 was created to make you feel like a rat in a maze, without any knowledge of what’s outside the maze.

Currently we’re working on something a lot of you have been asking for… It won’t be a sequel to Outlast or Outlast 2, but it will be a distinct experience set in the Outlast universe. We can’t say more right now, we first need to make sure we can make it work. Like I mentioned, we strive to be risk-takers and this one is a pretty big challenge. If all goes well, we’ll soon be able to reveal more.

In the meantime, the Outlast franchise will be released on the Nintendo Switch during the first quarter of 2018.

Expect To Play Outlast II Next Halloween

After the success of Outlast, some of us wondered if a sequel was on the horizon. The first teaser for Outlast II debuted today, and its religious theme seems more interesting then the first game. You can watch the video below. Heres what the description says in the video, "No conflict is ever black and white. But once the dust has settled, the victors get to decide who was right and who was wrong. Who is good and who is evil. Human nature pushes us to extremes of violence and depravity, which we then justify by divine inspiration and a promise of paradise to come. Horror rises from desperation and blind faith. Outlast II will test your faith, pushing players to a place where going mad is the only sane thing to do." The game is expanded to be on PlayStation 4,  Xbox One, PC and Mac. Survival Horror Game Outlast Is Getting a Sequel

One of the developers who worked on Outlast, has said his team are now working on a sequel to the survival horror game. Philippe Morin, the co founder of Outlast developer Red Barrels, has said the development team still has more ideas on how to approach the survival horror genre. "After shipping the Xbox One version of Outlast, we took some time to analyse our situation and we quickly realized we had at least another horror game in us”.”So, yes, we are working on Outlast 2. We're still a small indie studio, so we'll need a little bit of time to ship our next game, but hopefully it will be worth it."
