Here’s Everything You Need To Know About Pokemon GO Fest 2022

The Pokemon Company and Niantic have released information about this year's Pokemon GO Fest, which begins on June 4th. This year's event will be centered on Mythical Pokemon
Shaymin—the Gratitude Pokemon that will serve as the event's centerpiece. Pokemon GO Fest 2022 will take place between Saturday, June 4th, 2022 and Sunday, June 5th, 2022, and as usual, gamers will unlock goodies, receive bonuses, and much more. During the event, ticket holders will be able to earn up to nine free Raid Passes by spinning Photo Discs at Gyms. Pokemon GO Fest tickets are currently on sale for $14.99, which includes access to event gaming on both Saturday and Sunday. There will also be a unique closing event on Saturday, August 27, 2022, which is included in the aforementioned fee. Make sure to read the official site for a detailed list of details. Pokemon GO Fest 2021 Coming In July

The official Pokemon GO blog has announced that Pokemon GO Fest will be retuning this July. The two day event is set for July 17th until July 18th. The Pokemon Company has reminded fans that this year marks the 25th anniversary of the Pokemon franchise and the 5th anniversary of Pokemon GO.

“Mark your calendars—Pokémon GO Fest will return this year as a two-day global event from July 17 to July 18, 2021!
Last year’s event featured the debut of a brand-new worldwide format that saw Trainers from around the globe working together to complete challenges, unlock rewards, and defeat Team GO Rocket. Pokemon Go Fest 2020’s Makeup Day Will Be August 16th

Pokemon Go Fest 2020 has come and gone, but if you tried to take part in the event, your experience may not have been the best. Some players reported technical difficulties on July 25th, so Niantic has announced a makeup day for August 16th. On that day only, festivities from the event will return to the game.

From 11am to 1pm local time, Pokemon from certain habitats will appear more often for those that bought tickets, and the habitats will rotate every hour. If you bought a ticket, you’ll also get two Incense Raid Passes that last an hour each, two Remote Raid Passes and Gifts containing Rare Candies. The schedule of habitat rotation during the makeup day is down below.

• 11 AM: Fire
• 12 PM: Water
• 1 PM: Friendship

Pokemon GO Players Spent $17.5m During Pokemon GO Fest 2020

Pokemon GO Fest take place over the weekend of July 25th - July 26th and it saw players spent a total of $17.5m during the special two day event. On Saturday, July 25th players spend around $8.9 million and on Sunday, July 26th players spent around $8.6 million. This is according to data analytics firm Sensor Tower. The spending on Saturday is the second highest day since 29th July 2016, when players spent $13.3 million. Games Industry reports that Pokemon GO lifetime revenue is roughly $3.7 billion across the last four years.

Pokemon Go Fest 2020 Events Announced

“In celebration of Pokémon GO’s fourth anniversary, you’ll enjoy an exciting summer of Pokémon GO events leading up to Pokémon GO Fest 2020! All Trainers globally, regardless of whether they have a Pokémon GO Fest 2020 ticket, will be able to take part in three weekly challenges in the form of Timed Research lines. By completing these Timed Research lines, Trainers can unlock additional species of Pokémon that’ll appear during Pokémon GO Fest 2020.”

Week 1: Skill challenge and Pokémon GO’s fourth-anniversary celebration event

The first Pokémon GO Fest weekly challenge will coincide with Pokémon GO’s fourth-anniversary celebration! In the four years since Pokémon GO was released, how have your skills improved, Trainers? Have you been keeping up with your basics? It’s time to put you to the test! This first weekly challenge will focus on catching Pokémon, so be sure to perfect your throwing technique ahead of July 3!

During the fourth-anniversary event, special Pokémon will be appearing in the wild, hatching from Eggs, and appearing in raids—notably Flying Pikachu! If you’re lucky, you might find a Shiny Flying Pikachu!

GO Fest Weekly Challenge: Skill

• Complete all three sets of tasks in the GO Fest Weekly Challenge: Skill Timed Research to earn an encounter with Ducklett, an encounter with Flying Pikachu, a Star Piece, and more!
• If the following numbers of Trainers from the same team complete this Timed Research, the corresponding Pokémon will appear during Pokémon GO Fest 2020.
• One million Team Instinct Trainers: Chimecho
• One million Team Mystic Trainers: Alomomola
• One million Team Valor Trainers: Chansey
• If you complete the GO Fest Weekly Challenge: Skill Timed Research, you’ll earn access to the GO Fest Elite Skill Challenge, a set of difficult tasks that you can complete to earn personal bragging rights! You don’t need to complete these tasks for your Timed Research to count toward the Pokémon GO Fest 2020 unlock goals.

Fourth-anniversary event features

• Flying-type Pokémon and Pokémon wearing party hats will be appearing in the wild, hatching from Eggs, and appearing in raids. If you’re lucky, you might find a Shiny Pidove!
• Ducklett will be making its Pokémon GO debut! It’ll be appearing in the wild and hatching from 5 km Eggs.
• Flying Pikachu will be appearing in the wild and in raids. If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny one!
• The Jump-Start Special Research will also be available this week for any Trainers who missed out on it during last year’s anniversary celebration, so be sure to open the app during this period to claim it. This Special Research is designed to help you catch up with other Trainers, with a ton of Stardust and XP rewards, as well as some exciting Pokémon encounters.
• Be sure to take a snapshot during this event for a surprise.

Ho-Oh Special Raid Weekend

Ho-Oh will be joining in on the festivities! You can challenge it in five-star raids from Friday, July 3, 2020, at 8:00 a.m. to Monday, July 6, 2020, at 10:00 p.m. local time. Be sure to have your Remote Raid Passes stocked—you can purchase them in the shop.

Week 2: Battle-based challenge

Get your Pokémon ready for battle before July 10, Trainers—the second Pokémon GO Fest weekly challenge will test your battle skills!

Battle-themed event

Have your Pokémon ready for battle, Trainers! On Sunday, July 12, 2020, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time, there will be a battle-themed event! Hopefully it won’t take over too much of your time.

Week 3: Friendship-based challenge

In the third Pokémon GO Fest weekly challenge, it’ll be time to celebrate what Pokémon GO is really all about: friendship. This challenge will ask you to take a moment to appreciate your pals, like your Buddy Pokémon and fellow Trainers! Send Gifts to friends, and don’t forget to attach a Gift sticker, too—it might make your friends’ day. This challenge’s Timed Research will be available until July 22—just a few days before Pokémon GO Fest 2020 starts!

The Timed Research will be accompanied by an event that celebrates summer! Summer Style Pikachu will be appearing in the wild and hatching from Eggs, and Petilil, the Bulb Pokémon, will be making its Pokémon GO debut.

• Petilil will be making its Pokémon GO debut! It’ll be appearing in the wild when the weather is sunny and hatching from 5 km Eggs.
• Summer Style Pikachu will also be appearing in the wild!

Pokemon GO Fest 2020 Takes Place Virtually Next Month

Pokemon GO Fest 2020 is set for next month, Niantic revealed plans for both days with tickets now available in-game. Day one will begin at 10 AM to 8 PM local time on July 25th with a special research story only available on that day. The Global Challenge Arena will be GO Fest exclusive and it will let trainers complete a collaborative challenge each hour. Day one also includes rotating habitats, 75 Pokemon species, and more. 

Day two is on July 26th and Niantic is keeping it tight lipped at the moment. People who buy tickets will only know what the event includes on that day. Tickets for Pokemon GO Fest 2020 are now available in-game for $14.99 (or regional equivalent). Leading up to the fest, Niantic will release new challenges each week. 

Pokemon GO Fest 2020 Coming In Late July

The Pokemon GO team has announced on their official blog that Pokemon GO Fest 2020 will be happening this year albeit as a virtual event. You will be able to join in the fun on Saturday, July 25th until Sunday, July 26th 2020. 

“Save the dates: on July 25 and 26, Pokémon GO Fest 2020 will take place as an entirely global event in a virtual format, which will allow Trainers worldwide to participate from wherever they play. In another first, all ticket holders will be able to attend both days of this two-day event.

While we’ll miss the traditional congregation of Pokémon GO fans, we’re thrilled to bring a special Pokémon GO Fest experience to Trainers. Not only are you in for an exciting weekend of bonuses, Pokémon encounters, and Special Research, there will also be exciting ways to connect with other Trainers and experience other fun surprises throughout the entire summer.”

Pokemon GO Fest 2018 Is Happening In Chicago In July

The next Pokemon GO Festival will be taking place in Chicago from July 14th until July 15th. Here’s all the details from the official blog:

“Our biggest North American event is back with a brand-new look! Pokémon GO Fest returns to Chicago from July 14 to July 15. Pokémon GO Fest 2018: A Walk in the Park will offer a unique, immersive play experience unseen anywhere else that will create a daylong adventure for Trainers. The event will be held in the city’s historic Lincoln Park, with a 1.8-mile walking course that, among the tree-lined greenery, will include exclusive activities for Trainers of all ages. Single-day passes go on sale on May 11 for $20 on our event website. Also, check the event website for details on hotel accommodations and stay tuned for more details.”
