Hideo Kojima Was Prohibited From Attending The Game Awards
What was probably the biggest surprise of The Game Awards 2015 wasn't an award or a world premiere. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain won the award for best action/adventure game tonight. Accepting on behalf of Hideo Kojima was Big Boss voice actor Kiefer Sutherland. Why didn’t Hideo Kojima accept the award himself you may ask ? That’s because Kojima was not able to attend. Following the presentation of the award, host and producer Geoff Keighley revealed that Kojima was legally prohibited by Konami from attending.
"As you noticed Hideo Kojima is not here tonight," Keighley said. "Mr. Kojima had every intention of being here, but unfortunately he was informed by a lawyer representing Konami that he would not be allowed to travel to tonight’s award ceremony to accept any awards. He’s still under employment and contract and it’s disappointing. It’s inconceivable to me that an artist like Hideo Kojima would not be allowed to come here and celebrate with his peers and his fellow teammates."

Psychonauts 2 Announced At The Game Awards 2015
During The Game Awards 2015, Double Fine President Tim Schafer took the stage to unveiled something I and many other thought we’d never seen, the long requested Psychonauts 2. A sequel to the 2005 cult hit is something fans have being waiting a long long long time. Psychonauts 2 picks up after the first game’s cliffhanger ending. Raz and the gang arrive at Psychonauts headquarters following the rescue of Truman Zanotto, the Grand Head of the Psychonauts, who’d been kidnapped during the first game’s conclusion. The studio needs just one more thing before diving into development, $3.3 million from investors and fans. Double Fine is seeking that cash on the crowdfunding platform Fig. Fig allows people to actually invest in a game and share in its profits, rather than dealing strictly in "donations" like Kickstarter, Indiegogo and other crowdfunding programs. During The Game Awards 2015, Telltale revealed that they're working on a Batman game. Telltale showed off a brief teaser trailer that acted as a teaser for the series. It will be launching in 2016.
