Game Boy/Color & Game Boy Advance Games Are Now On Switch Online

Games for the Game Boy and Game Boy Color have come to Nintendo Switch Online. Super Mario Land, Tetris, Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, Metroid II, Wario Land 3, and many other titles are among those confirmed for launch.

Games on the Game Boy Advance have also been announced by Nintendo, although exclusively for the Expansion Pack. Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, and many other games are available right away. Both retro libraries have now been made available.

The Legend Of Zelda: Link’s Awakening (Remake) For Nintendo Switch Coming In 2019


During the February 2019 Nintendo Direct, the company announced that they are remaking The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening which appeared on the Game Boy in 1993. The game is set to release sometime in 2019. Take a look at the video down below.

New Nintendo Patent Could Bring Game Boy Games To Phones

Nintendo has filed a patent for a software emulator that could Officially bring its Game Boy games to phones and other devices as emulator’s for Gameboy games already exist on these platforms. The patent describes emulating Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance Games on cell phones. The patent doesn't mean Nintendo plans on bringing its games to phones and other platforms. It's an updated version of an older patent. Nintendo has explained many times that it's not bringing its games to mobile devices anytime soon, and earlier this month, it touted the sales of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS proving dedicated handheld gaming devices aren’t going anywhere.
