Watch Dogs 2's Seamless Multiplayer Might Be Online This Weekend

Watch Dogs 2's seamless multiplayer was pulled offline for launch as it was causing crashes and slowdown. Now, Ubisoft offered a statement for when seamless multiplayer will be online. You can find the full statement from Ubisoft below.

“The Watch Dogs 2 development team has prioritized finding a solution for activating the seamless multiplayer feature in the game. They are currently conducting extensive internal testing of a solution to both ensure it causes no regression to the core single player experience as well as smoothly integrates the seamless multiplayer. If the solution works as intended, we hope to permanently flip the switch to turn on seamless multiplayer as soon as this weekend. To our current players, we sincerely appreciate the support and patience during this process. Meanwhile, players still have full access to the campaign, side activities and the opportunity to join in Coop with those on their Friends list to hack and explore the open world of the San Francisco Bay Area”.

You’ll Be Able To Beat Watch Dog 2 Without Killing Anyone

The PlayStation blog recently interviewed Game Director Danny Belanger about Watch Dogs 2 and apparently you can go through the entire game without killing people.

“The player has the freedom to play the way they want,” explains Belanger. “We’re using three playstyles to talk about the game. The combat hacker, who is more proactive and uses hacks to take down people. There’s the ghost hacker, they can use hacks to distract and make noises. And then there’s the trickster hacker. They can finish a whole mission without actually physically being there.”

You can read the entire post here on PlayStation's official blog.

Watch Dogs 2 World Premiere Happening On June 8 [UPDATED]

Ubisoft is teasing a world premiere for Watch Dogs 2 happening on June 8. My question is why have a world premiere this week, when E3 is next week ? Guess we’ll find out on June 8. What do you think ?

UPDATE 6/8/16 - Ubisoft has revealed the world premiere trailer for Watch Dogs 2. I’ve noted some some of the key changes coming to Watch Dogs 2 that we know of so far.

Say Hello to Marcus Holloway

It’s been real Aiden Pierce (the series' debut protagonist) but you’re being replaced by Marcus Holloway, an African American DedSec hacker from San Francisco. DedSec is the hacktivist group introduced in the first game, and this time we're given a deeper look at the faction's motivations and the faces behind it.

There’s A Deeper Hacking System

Like the first Watch Dogs, city infrastructures can be manipulated. Now Players can hack and edit NPC profiles, such as forging evidence in the system so that they're listed as a wanted criminal. Depending on who you target, the individual will either be arrested whilst proclaiming their innocence, or if you targeted a member of a crime gang, they could resist arrest and begin a dangerous gunfight.

Goodbye Chicago, Hello San Francisco

Watch Dogs took place in Chicago, but the sequel will be set in the San Francisco Bay Area. Divided into 6 regions, the city includes the downtown area, Civic, Coast, Oakland, Marin, and Silicon Valley, each with their own aesthetic.

Watch Dogs 2 will release on November 11, 2016 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. You can watch the world premiere announcement trailer below for more details. What do you think of Watch Dogs 2 so far ? Seems interesting but I’d like to play the game before I judge it.
