Apple has released watchOS 2, its first major update to the Apple Watch software since the release of the Apple Watch in April. The update requires iOS 9 and can be downloaded through the Apple Watch app on the iPhone. WatchOS 2 was originally scheduled to be released on September 16 alongside the release of iOS 9, but a “critical bug” prevented Apple from pushing out the update. WatchOS 2 introduces loads of new features including the ability to run native apps, third party complications, as well as give developers access to several hardware features and sensors including the heart rate monitor, microphone, accelerometer sand Taptic Engine.
