Apple Releases WatchOS 2.2

Today Apple has released WatchOS 2.2 for the Apple Watch. WatchOS 2.2 allows iPhone’s running 9.3 or later to pair multiple Apple Watch models to a single iPhone. Watch OS 2.2 also includes an updated Maps app that allows you to more easily search as well as get directions. The Glance card for Maps now provides easy shortcuts for navigating Home, Work and even checking for Nearby locations of restaurants. To upgrade to WatchOS 2.2, you need to go to the Watch app on your iPhone running iOS 9.3 or later and tap on General—> Software update.

Apple Releases Watch OS 2 For Apple Watch

Apple has released watchOS 2, its first major update to the Apple Watch software since the release of the Apple Watch in April. The update requires iOS 9 and can be downloaded through the Apple Watch app on the iPhone. WatchOS 2 was originally scheduled to be released on September 16 alongside the release of iOS 9, but a “critical bug” prevented Apple from pushing out the update. WatchOS 2 introduces loads of new features including the ability to run native apps, third party complications, as well as give developers access to several hardware features and sensors including the heart rate monitor, microphone, accelerometer sand Taptic Engine. Theres also the new Time Travel feature, which allows users to view past and upcoming events on their Watch face complications by turning the Digital Crown. What do you think of Watch OS 2 ? 

Apple Not Releasing WatchOS2 Today Due To Bug

While Apple announced last week that it would be releasing iOS 9 and watchOS 2 to the public today, the company has announced that it will not be releasing watchOS 2 as planned due to a recent bug. We will update you on when WatchOS 2 will be released to the public

Today during an Apple event, Apple made a few announcement about the Apple Watch. Heres everything you need to know: 

•  A new model coming in October from fashion brand Hermes to select Apple Stores
• Yellow and Rose gold anodized aluminum Sport models launching today, same $349 and $399 prices
• Product Red Sport band joining the lineup, sold with stainless steel models + new 2 toned leather band
• Space Black Apple Watch now offered with black Sport band
• watchOS 2 coming September 16th

Apple’s Next iPhone Event Will Be On September 9

Apple has sent out invites for an event on September 9 where it's expected to announce the next iPhone, the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Also at the event we should hear about release dates for iOS 9, OS X El Capitan, Watch OS 2 and the possible announcement of a new Apple Tv. What else do you think will happen at the iPhone event ? 

Apple Rumored To Release New Watch With FaceTime Camera With Improved Wi-Fi In 2016

While the Apple Watch has yet to expand to more markets, Apple is already working on a 2nd gen model (is anyone surprised ?) Reportedly due for release next year, the Apple Watch 2 should elevate your experience with a built-in FaceTime video camera for videoconferencing and improved Wi-Fi features for greater iPhone independence. A video camera should be integrated into the top bezel, allowing for FaceTime video calls directly from your wrist. As for enhanced Wi-Fi features, the report doesn’t go into details beyond stating that the device will “have more functionality when used independently from an iPhone. It should be noted that the WatchOS 2 software update and upcoming native apps will bring greater iPhone independence to the current-generation models, native apps will run directly on watch hardware, be permitted to tap into its sensors and communicate directly with known Wi-Fi hotspots using the new Tetherless Wi-Fi feature. As for the battery life of the Apple Watch 2 , it should stay roughly the same, or be marginally better than the current-generation model. The publication adds that Apple will expand the Apple Watch lineup beyond today’s Sport, Steel and Edition models with additional premium-priced units, possibly using new materials like titanium, tungsten, palladium or platinum. The Apple Watch 2 will likely release some time in 2016. Its rumors like this one that make me hesitant about buying a 1st generation Apple device. What do you think of this rumor ? 

Apple Announces Watch OS 2 For The Apple Watch

Today at WWDC Apple announced WatchOS 2, which will bring a ton of new features to the Apple Watch, including a new bedside alarm clock feature, multiple screens for friends, video playback, speaker output and so much more. Heres a rundown of some of the news features that will be available with Watch OS 2. 

Video playback – Play videos directly on Apple Watch

Audio output – Audio output directly from the Apple Watch speaker

Native apps - Apple has opened up the development kit and will aloud apps to be made speciflly for the Apple Watch

Photo Watch Faces –  You can now choose a photo from your photo library and make it a watch face

Nightstand mode

WatchOS 2 will be available for registered developers starting today, allowing them to begin building apps with the new features. It'll be available to the public in the fall and will be a free update.
