According to a listing on Amazon.de, Batman: Arkham Knight is getting a Game of the Year edition. The game is listed at the price of €49.99 or $59.99 with a release date set for July 28. All of the DLC for the game are included. Take this with a grain of salt, as this is still just a rumor.
Batman: Arkham Knight has returned to Steam following its being taken down of bugs after its launch. Soon after the game returned, comments on Steam and Reddit reveal problems including stuttering, plummeting frame rates and freezing are still rife. Warner Bros. has acknowledged its failed to fix 2 bugs that plagued the game. A blog post warns players of a GPU issue affecting Windows 7 users that gappen after "extended gameplay sessions" and sees a hard drive paging issue occur. To solve this, you need to relaunch the game. The post also advises Windows 10 owners to have "at least 12GB of system RAM" in order to "operate without paging and provide a smoother gameplay experience." Warner Bros. just can’t catch a break with this game on PC. My question is why even release it back on Steam if they knew they had 2 more bugs to fix. What do you think ?
Warner Bros. has announced that the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight will return to Steam on October 28. A patch will be released alongside the re-release bringing the PC version up to date with all the new content and features found in the console version. This includes Photo Mode, Big Head Mode, Batman: Arkham Asylum Batman Skin, and character selection in combat AR challenges. If you bought the season pass, you’ll find all the content released so far waiting for you, too. A full list of what will be available can be found in this Steam Community post. Better late than never I suppose, It once to finally see the PC version of the game come back so that PC players can enjoy a great game. What do you think ?
Warner Bros. has announced that the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight will return by the end of October. A post on the game's Steam page also confirms that all DLC that's been released for the console versions of the game will also be available when the game is back on Steam. Finally, for some this has been a long unnecessary journey and I’m glad that PC gamers will soon be able to enjoy this amazing game. What do you think ?
Some new Batman: Arkham Knight DLC is now available, including much more than the promised Batsuit and Batmobile from the 1989 Michael Keaton film. The August DLC also brings the Bat Family costume pack and 2 race tracks inspired by Tim Burton’s Batman and Batman Returns. The pack is included in the season pass, but also available for $1.99 individually. Later in the month, there will be a new Batmobile based on Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight. This includes 2 additional race tracks. You’ll also get the original Arkham Asylum Batsuit along with a new story mission featuring Nightwing. You can download the DLC now. You can watch the trailer for the DLC below.
Batman: Arkham Knight continues to have problems on PC and may not be fixed anytime soon, according to a leaked retailer memo. Kotaku Australia has reportedly seen an internal email sent to EB Games staff, which explains the game won't be fixed until the Australian Spring. "As previously advised, we have stopped sales of Batman: Arkham Knight PC while Warner and Rocksteady work on addressing performance issues with the game," it reads. "The latest information from Warner is that the updates won’t be available until Spring. Due to this we have made the difficult decision to recall all PC stock from stores to return to the vendor until an acceptable solution is released.” As we know the game was pulled from sale on Steam after reports of performance problems and missing graphical features arose when the game launched last month. You gotta feel bad for PC gamers as this is just uncalled for and shouldn’t of happened in the first place. What do you think ?
There have been many film adaptations of Batman over the years. Michael Keaton was Batman in Tim Burton’s 1989 film and if you’re a Season pass holder you can play as Michael Keaton’s Batman in Arkham Knight. Also coming for season pass holders is the Bat-family skins pack. This includes 1990s Catwoman, One Year Later Robin, Arkham Origins Batman, the Iconic Grey & Black Batman, 1970s Batman, and the Original Arkham Nightwing. Both packs are coming in August.
The Joker has threatened to kill Commissioner Gordon if Batman shows up to help Batgirl. It looks like it’s up to her and Robin to save the Commissioner. You’ll be able to play this prequel story beginning on July 14 for season pass holders. You can also purchase it a la carte for $6.99 on July 21. The Batgirl DLC is developed by WB Montreal who also developed Batman: Arkham Origins, with the remainder of the add-on content under development at Rocksteady. You can watch the trailer below.
Warner Bros is releasing Batgirl: A Matter of Family, a prequel story that takes place before the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum. A Matter of Family places players into the role of Barbara Gordon AKA Batgirl for the first time. This DLC offers several missions and a new hacking gameplay mechanic. Time for a plot twist, the DLC is not developed by Rocksteady Studios, but is instead created by WB Games Montreal, the team behind Batman: Arkham Origins. If you purchased the Season Pass for Arkham Knight, you get the DLC a week early on July 14, for those who didn’t get the Season Pass the DLC will be available on July 21 for $6.99 for PS4 and Xbox One. It will interesting to see what WB Montreal has in store for us with the Batgirl DLC. What do you think ?
The PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight has been suffering from many issues, and in response Rocksteady is suspending sales of the game in order to get it fixed. Rocksteady had this to say about suspending sales of the game: “We want to apologize to those of you who are experiencing performance issues with Batman: Arkham Knight on PC. We take these issues very seriously and have therefore decided to suspend future game sales of the PC version while we work to address these issues to satisfy our quality standards. We greatly value our customers and know that while there are a significant amount of players who are enjoying the game on PC, we want to do whatever we can to make the experience better for PC players overall”. Rocksteady suggests requesting a refund through Steam, or wherever else you’ve purchased the game. This suspension shouldn't affect those who already own the game. It's unclear when the PC version of the game will be available for sale again. It’s nice to see WB and Rocksteady take responsibility for the PC version of the game. Unlike other developers that will let PC version stay released and over time patch. My example would be Grand Theft Auto V for PC. Some gamers (Including myself) are still having issues with the game and it was release in April of this year. How do you think WB and Rocksteady are handling the situation ?
Batman: Arkham Knight on PC has been experiencing some issues. They include a capped frame rate, frame rate drops of 10 or more with high end GPUs, crashes, and settings that top out at high instead of ultra. The optimization issues have led to a mostly negative rating on Steam out over over 2,300 user reviews. Rocksteady has now acknowledged the issues, though no specific timetable for updates has yet been detailed. Well we update this story if anything changes.
Here are the games that will be release this week. This week I’m looking forward to playing Batman: Arkham Knight. Batman: Arkham Knight is the final chapter in the Batman Arkham series by Rocksteady. Can wait to play it, to me it looks like the proper way to do a final chapter of a game. What game are you excited to play this week ?
Batman: Arkham Knight's release’s tomorrow and the game will launch with a day one patch. The patch includes various improvements and fixes for the action game and will be 3.5 GB in file size. Here’s whats included in the patch :
