EA Announces The Sims 4 Getting Cats & Dogs Expansion Pack

During Gamescom 2017, EA has announced that the Cats & Dogs expansion pack is coming to The Sims 4. You can choose breeds, customize their coats, and try to recreate you favorite furry companion. You can either make an animal from scratch and give them unique traits, or find a stray in the city to adopt and learn about its personality. You can train them and even dress them up in costumes. The Cats & Dogs expansion also creates a new veterinarian profession for your Sims. The Cats & Dogs expansion pack is heading to PC and Mac on November 10. 

Next Xbox One Update Allows Transfers To Xbox One And Light Mode

Xbox Design Head Mike Ybarra announced at Gamescom that the next Xbox One update will add a number of new features. One of the features include transfers from your old Xbox One to an Xbox One X and a light mode. Below is an example of what you can transfer to a new Xbox One X. Before you get the system, you can download all the 4K content for your games so it will be ready to go on the Xbox One X and back up all your settings and preferences before you go. You can then move over everything to an external harddrive or transfer over your network. Next is the Xbox One light mode, which lightens up all your windows from the console's traditional dark interface. It reminds me of how the Xbox 360 interface used to look. Thoughts ?

2 Nintendo Directs Will Take Place During Gamescom 2017

Nintendo has big plans for Gamescom, as the company will have 2 Nintendo Directs for the event. The first Direct will take place on August 23rd at 2 PM UK / 6 AM PT / 9AM ET and will focus on Super Mario Odyssey for the Nintendo Switch with a special developer talk from producer Yoshiaki Koizumi. The second Nintendo Direct will take place on August 24th at 11 AM UK / 3 AM PT / 6 AM ET with a focus on the upcoming Metroid: Samus Returns for the Nintendo 3DS and Producer Yoshio Sakamoto and José Luis Márquez, creative director of developer Mercury Steam, will be in attendance to talk all things Metroid on 3DS. It’s shaping up to be a good show this year for Nintendo fans and gamers in general.

Blizzard Announcing A Bunch Of Things At Gamescom 2017

Blizzard will be at Gamescom next week, and will be announced a bunch a new content for there games at the event. One f those will be a  new Overwatch map and animated short. Thea map will be revealed on Monday, August 21, while the new short will arrive 2 days later during a livestreamed Blizzard Reveal Ceremony on Wednesday, August 23. Here's a full rundown, for everything else Blizzard is bringing to Gamescom:

Hearthstone

• New Fireside Gathering features, including a playable group raid against the Lich King.
• Heathstone's Global Games Finals take place on August 25 and 26.

World of Warcraft

• New details on the upcoming 7.3 patch on Wednesday, August 23.
• WoW European Championship Finals take place throughout the event.

Heroes of the Storm

• A new hero will be announced on Monday, August 21.
• Heroes of the Storm: Showdown will be a live show including fights between community personalities and pros.

StarCraft 2

• New co-op commander will be revealed on Monday, August 21.

Xbox One X Preorder Info Will Be Revealed At Gamescom

Microsoft has confirmed that the preorder info for the Xbox One X will be revealed during Microsoft's Gamescom press conference. The Xbox press conference takes place on Sunday, August 20 at 12 PM PT / 3PM ET.
