Google Rumored To Be Working On Game Streaming Service


It looks like Google could be working on a cloud-based streaming service that would function like PlayStation Now, according to a report from The Information. Apparently Google has been going back and forth with the idea, codenamed Yeti, for 2 years now and is close to possible hardware. The service could also just stream to Chromecasts, which would offer a built-in install base of 55 million units already, according to the latest figures. Thoughts ?

Gaming On Windows 10 Gets Better With The Creators Update


During the Microsoft October event, the company announced that Windows 10 is getting an updated called the Creators update. The update will add a number of new features to Windows 10 this spring, and with it come a few new features for Windows gaming. Game broadcasting is getting a big improvement with the inclusion of Beam. Beam is popular interactive live streaming software, and it will be integrated directly into Windows 10 gaming. Custom tournaments are also coming to Windows 10. Players will be able to pick games, set tournament types, set the time the tournament will be taking place and send out invites all from one window. It will also track all the stats of the tournament for you. Also, Xbox One players and Windows 10 players will be able to participate in tournaments together.

Facebook Is Launching A Gaming Platform


According to a post on the Facebook developers blog, the social media giant will be teaming up with Unity to create a PC based gaming platform. The platform is mostly compatibility with the Unity engine and allows seamless integration with the Facebook homepage. It will be interesting to see how indie developers use this. Having more exposure for you games can only mean good things for developers. What do you think ?

Spotify Now Has A Dedicated Gaming Section


The music streaming service Spotify has launched a new segment dedicated to gamers. Spotify Gaming will be a separate section on Spotify and app that features curated playlists, soundtracks, and contributed song lists from notable personalities from the gaming world.

Amazon Announces A Gaming Edition Of The Fire TV


Amazon has announced the Fire TV Gaming Edition, a games focused Fire TV for$140. The Gaming Edition bundle come with the new Amazon Fire TV, a controller, a 32GB micro SD card and 2 games for the system, Shovel Knight and Ducktales.  The new Fire TV has 75% more processing power and 2X the GPU performance, then the original. Looks like Amazon is trying to compete with Apple and the Apple TV. What do you think ?

Google has finally unveiled YouTube Gaming.The service can be accessed on the Web or through an iOS or
Android app. It’s currently available in the US and UK. Other countries are promised to be coming soon. Here’s what you can do with the YouTube Gaming service according to a blog post by YouTube:
