Alexa Enabled Devices Coming To Australia And New Zealand In Early 2018

Amazon has announced that Alexa and Alexa-enabled devices will land in Australia and New Zealand in early 2018. The Echo will be part of the launch, although Amazon is keeping a lid on the  date and the exact Echo devices it plans to release. Amazon is also buddying up with Kiwi and Aussie services on local Alexa skills. The new crop will mostly be made up of news and media outlets , among them Sky News Australia, Fox Sports, Qantas, Dimmi, Coastalwatch, Air New Zealand, TVNZ, Newstalk ZB, and New Zealand Herald.

Amazon Announces A Gaming Edition Of The Fire TV

Amazon has announced the Fire TV Gaming Edition, a games focused Fire TV for$140. The Gaming Edition bundle come with the new Amazon Fire TV, a controller, a 32GB micro SD card and 2 games for the system, Shovel Knight and Ducktales.  The new Fire TV has 75% more processing power and 2X the GPU performance, then the original. Looks like Amazon is trying to compete with Apple and the Apple TV. What do you think ? 

GameFly Is Expanding Its Game Streaming Service

GameFly has announced that GameFly Streaming and is now available on Samsung Smart TVs across the United States, Canada, and more European regions. The number of markets where GameFly Streaming is currently available now stands at 20, following its limited launch in Brazil, Israel, Mexico, and other European territories earlier this year. Previously, GameFly streaming was only available only on Amazon Fire TV devices. GameFly Streaming offers bundles of games for a fixed price, which starts at $7 per month. There are a variety of bundles available now, each containing 7 games focused around a particular theme. One bundle offers LEGO games, while another comes with adventure games such as Darksiders II and Batman. There is also a Hardcore Pack that features Mafia II and Red Faction. GameFly also revealed today that it had acquired streaming service Playcast, whose technology will power GameFly Streaming. According to the companies report, GameFly's new streaming program will offer bundles of games for a fixed price, which will start at $7 a month. There are 6 bundles currently available, each containing 7 games focused around a particular theme. One bundle offers LEGO games, while another comes with adventure games such as Darksiders II and Batman Arkham titles. GameFly Streaming also offers a "gamer pack" that comes with 16 games for $10 a month. An interesting factor about GameFly Streaming is available only for Amazon Fire TV as of now. The Amazon Fire TV is only $100 were as a gaming console can cost up to $500 (if you include accessories) and a PC can cost even more then that. Does GameFly Streaming seem intestine to you ? Dish’s Sling TV service is now available to everyone in the United States,  the service has recently added AMC to the basic channel lineup so you’ll be able to watch Mad Men and The Walking Dead, for example. Sling TV Is Coming To Xbox One

Microsoft and Dish have announced that Sling TV will be coming to Xbox One soon. Sling TV will provide a variety of over the internet television programming from Disney, CNN, ESPN, TNT, and many others. The service will be offered for $20 per month. Xbox Live members will receive a free one month trial at launch. Its should be noted that Sling TV will also be available on Amazon Fire TV, Google Nexus Player, LG Smart TVs, Roku, iOS devices, Android devices, Mac and PC.

The WWE Network Is Finally Coming To The UK

The WWE Network finally has a release date for the UK version. The online video subscription service, which offers access to a 30 year archive of wrestling shows, as well as live streams of the latest pay per views is set to be released on January 19. The Network will cost £9.99 per month, and is accessible on Streaming devise such as Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Playstation consoles, Xbox consoles, some smart tv’s, computers, tablets and smartphones.
