Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered Is Getting Suits From No Way Home

 This month, Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theaters. In the film, Peter Parker will be sporting a new outfit. When the new Spider-Man costumes arrive, Insomniac is eager to include them into its game, Marvel's Spider-Man.

The "Black & Gold" suit (yep, that's its official name, according to Marvel) and the Iron Spider-like "Integrated Suit," which appears to have ties to Doctor Strange, will be released on December 10 in Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered. These suits will be exclusive to the PlayStation 5 Remastered edition of Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition, which is exclusively available as part of the Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition. In the trailer below, you can get a quick glance at the suits. On December 17, Spider-Man: No Way Home will be released in theaters.

Insomniac Games Is Making A Wolverine Game

Spider-Man isn't the only Marvel superhero getting his own video game over at Insomniac Games. During the most recent PlayStation Showcase, Insomniac teased Wolverine is getting his own game, and yes its set in the same universe as Spider-Man. Not much was revealed about the upcoming game other than that it exists, but we did get an idea of the tone it will take. Wolverine has never been the most "amped up" character, and Insomniac looks to be respecting that with our first teaser of its upcoming game.

According to the most recent PlayStation Blog post about the announcement, "Marvel’s Wolverine is a standalone game being directed by Brian Horton (creative director) and Cameron Christian (game director), who recently led the creative efforts on Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, a game we’re extremely proud of at Insomniac. In the vein of our Spider-Man games, our goal here is to not only respect the DNA of what makes the character so popular but also look for opportunities to make it feel fresh and truly reflect the Insomniac spirit. Even though Marvel’s Wolverine is very early in development, from what I’ve seen of its emotional narrative and cutting-edge gameplay (see what I did there?), the team is already creating something truly special."

Spider-Man 2 Coming To PS5 In 2023

Sony and Insomniac revealed that Spider-Man 2 is coming in 2023. The trailer showed off Peter and Miles working together to bring down enemies. The trailer also features voiceover from someone who seems to be looking for a challenge in his face-off against the two Spider-Man heroes, who man believe to be Kraven the Hunter. Last, but most certainly not least. We got a very brief look at Venom. Spider-Man 2 is set to release in 2023 exclusively on PS5. 

 

Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Getting New Advanced Tech Suit

Insomniac Games has revealed the first look at the Advanced Tech Suit coming to Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Also announced was a PS5-only update that targets realistic muscle deformation for specific Spidey looks. 

Regarding the rest of the update, official patch notes aren't available at this time, which means we don't know exactly what the "various fixes" entail. The update should be available now on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.

Two More Suits Are Coming To Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered

Advanced Suit

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is getting two more suits added to the game. The remaster already sports several updates including the addition of Andrew Garfield’s suit from The Amazing Spider-Man film and a “controversial” redesign for Peter Parker. The studio also states that the remaster’s three new suits will also come to the PS4 version of the game, though at an undetermined date.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered takes advantage of the PlayStation 5’s power with faster load times, improved visuals, 3D spatial audio, and haptic feedback via the DualSense controller. It also includes all 3 chapters of The City That Never Sleeps DLC. The game launches November 12 as a pack-in with the $69.99 Ultimate Edition of Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Unfortunately, the remaster will not be sold separately nor as a next-gen upgrade for owners of the PS4 version. 

Insomniac Games Reveals More Details About Spider Man: Miles Morales

Developer of Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Insomniac Games, has released a new trailer for the game. Creative director Brian Horton and senior animator James Ham talk about Miles in the game, including some of his abilities and more. An entry on the PlayStation Blog by Horton also divulges some new details on the title.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales takes place a year after the first Spider-Man; Miles' home in Harlem is the epicenter of a war that's broken out between an energy company and a criminal army. Horton says this story is a full arc, and compares its scope to that of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.

Finally, although Insomniac have stressed this is Miles' game, Horton teases that Insomniac still has "much of Peter's story left to tell." He's likely talking about whatever Spider-Man 2 will be, but that's yet to be seen. More about the title will be reached in the coming months according to Insomniac. 

Marvel’s Spider-Man Gets Game Of The Year Edition

In celebration of Marvel’s Spider-Man one-year anniversary (coming up on September 7), Sony revealed a game of the year edition. This version of the game includes the full base game and a voucher for the three-episode DLC for $40.  

Sony Acquires Insomniac Games

Sony has announced that it has acquired Insomniac Games, developers behind Ratchet & Clank, Sunset Overdrive, and Marvel’s Spider-Man.

Insomniac has worked with Sony on a number of exclusive franchises over the years This includes games like like Sunset Overdrive, Song of the Deep, and Oculus exclusives like The Unspoken and Stormlands. It’s most praised games are interestingly enough PlayStation games, which could play a part of the reasoning behind this acquisition.
