Microsoft Closing Its Retail Stores

Microsoft announced that it’s closing its physical stores worldwide. The company's retail employees will continue to serve customers through Microsoft's corporate offices and remotely, providing sales, training, and support.

Microsoft has plans for reimagined "Experience Centers" for customers in New York City, London, Sydney, and at its headquarters in Redmond, Washington.

"Our sales have grown online as our product portfolio has evolved to largely digital offerings, and our talented team has proven success serving customers beyond any physical location," said Microsoft Corporate Vice President David Porter. "We are grateful to our Microsoft Store customers and we look forward to continuing to serve them online and with our retail sales team at Microsoft corporate locations."

Halo: The Master Chief Collection Releasing For PC One By One

Microsoft has announced that The Master Chief Collection is coming to PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store. Rather than releasing every title at once, 343 Industries is launching the games in chronological order for when the story takes place. This means that PC players will first experience Halo: Reach's campaign, multiplayer, and Firefight modes, then Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo 4. Players purchase the games individually within The Master Chief Collection as they launch, though no pricing has been announced at this time. Halo: The Master Chief Collection will begin rolling out on Steam and the Microsoft Store later this year.
