EVGA No Longer Making Graphics Cards For Nvidia

 Popular graphics card manufacturer EVGA has ended its relationship with Nvidia and will no longer manufacture graphics cards in the future.

According to Gamers Nexus, EVGA has discontinued all future graphics card operations but will continue to sell leftover stock of its current products and service consumers who have already purchased them.

EVGA cited 'disrespectful behavior' as the basis for the breakup, claiming that it became agitated because Nvidia would reportedly divulge crucial information to the public at the same time as EVGA.

The company also claimed that Nvidia was undercutting it by selling its own Founders Edition graphics cards for less than EVGA goods.

It expects to run out of RTX 30-series graphics cards by the end of 2022, but is keeping some supply on hand to fulfill current customers' warranties if necessary. EVGA will continue to operate and sell its other goods, but will not expand into new markets or pursue new graphics card collaborations with Intel or AMD.

"EVGA is committed to our customers and will continue to offer sales and support on the current line-up," it said in a statement. "EVGA would like to say thank you to our great community for the many years of support and enthusiasm for EVGA graphics cards."

Nvidia's RTX 3090 Ti Release Has Reportedly Been Delayed

Nvidia's beefy top-end graphics card, the RTX 3090 Ti, has apparently been delayed. The delay has been reported on a variety of websites, each claiming their own sources. According to TweakTown's sources, the RTX 3090 Ti's release has been delayed, and Videocardz has corroborated this with its own sources, who claim the delay is due to BIOS and hardware difficulties. A GPU maker has also told PC Gamer that the rollout may have been "temporarily postponed."

Nvidia Announces The RTX 3050

As part of its CES 2022 announcements, Nvidia revealed the newest GPU to join its RTX 30 series of desktop GPUs. The company's newest entry-level GPU, the RTX 3050, will be available later this month.

When compared to the company's GTX 1650 graphics card, the RTX 3050 is said to be a considerable jump forward in terms of performance. The RTX 3050 has 8GB of GDDR6 memory and, like the rest of the RTX 30 series, it supports DLSS and hardware-accelerated ray tracing, making it a more inexpensive way to try out Nvidia's RTX technology. The Nvidia RTX 3050 will be available on January 27th, with a retail price of $269.




Nvidia Announces The RTX 3090 Ti

During their CES 2022 live stream, Nvidia unveiled the RTX 3090 Ti, a new high-end GPU. While the firm did not provide price or a release date, The Verge reports that the RTX 3090 Ti will have 40 teraflops of GPU performance, which is around 11% faster than the previous RTX 3090's 36 teraflops.

According to The Verge, the RTX 3090 Ti will have 24GB of GDDR6X VRAM, which is the same as the RTX 3090 GPU, however the RTX 3090 Ti will run at 21Gbps, compared to 19.5Gbps for the RTX 3090.

The RTX 3090 Ti, like other GPUs in the RTX series, uses the Ampere architecture, and based on the specs mentioned above, it will be Nvidia's next top graphics card, replacing the RTX 3080 Ti, which was released in June 2021.

NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3060 Releases Next Week

According to The Verge, NVIDIA has set a release date for the GeForce RTX 3060. The $329 mid-tier GPU will be available from retailers on February 25th at 12PM ET. The base 3060 is a spiritual successor to cards like the GTX 1060 and RTX 2060, and brings features like hardware-accelerated ray tracing and DLSS to a sub-$350 NVIDIA card for the first time. It's the slowest of the RTX 30 family to date with3,584 CUDA cores, a 192-bit memory interface and a 1.32GHz base clock. However, it also has the most memory of any mainstream NVIDIA GPU with 12GB of RAM.

Nvidia Unveils The GeForce RTX 3060

 Nvidia unveiled the GeForce RTX 3060. The RTX 3060 has 12GB of GDDR6 memory with 13 Shader TFLOPS, 25 RT TFLOPS, and 101 Tensor TFLOPS. The graphics card will launch in late February for $329. The $329 price point could bring next-gen level graphics to a wider range of PC gamers. Until now Nvidia's cheapest 30-series GPU is the $399 RTX 3060 Ti, which features 8GB of VRAM, but offers the a higher 16.2 Shader TFLOPS, 31.6 RT TFLOPS, and 129.6 Tensor TFLOPS. With the RTX 3060, frugal PC builders will have an opportunity to assemble assemble a rig that rivals or beats the PS5 or Series X for around the same price.

Here’s Everything You Need To Know About The RTX 3070, 3080 And 3090

Nvidia has announced its new slate of next-generation graphics cards. The RTX 3070, RTX 3080, and a new high-end RTX 3090 A.K.A "BFGPU".

First up is the RTX 3070. This GPU has 8GB GDDR6 memory, is capable of 20 shader-tflops, 40 RT-tflops, and 163 Tensor-tflops, and according to Nvidia is more powerful than the RTX 2080 Ti. The RTX 3070 will launch in October, starting at $499, which is less than half the RTX 2080 Ti's current prices.

Next up is the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 which has 10GB of GDDR6X, capable of 30 shader-tflops, 58 RT-tflops, and 238 Tensor-tflops. According to Nvidia, it's 2X as powerful as the RTX 2080. The RTX 3080 starts at $699 and will be available September 17.

Last but not least is the RTX 3090. This monster of a GPU has a ridiculous 24GB of GDDR6X memory, and can push out 36 shader-tflops, 69 RT-tflops, and 285 Tensor-tflops of GPU power. Nvidia claims the card is capable of playing games at 60 fps in 8K. It starts at $1,499 and will be available on September 24.

Nvidia GeForce Now Will No Longer Support 2K Games

2K is the lastest publisher to have their games removed from the Nvidia GeForce streaming service. These games for 2K's include Borderlands, Civilization, BioShock and XCOMThe games' removal was "per publisher request" and that the company is working with 2K to "re-enable [its] games in the future."

Nvidia GeForce Now Streaming Service Is Now Available, Exits Beta


Nvidia has announced its video game streaming service, GeForce Now, is exiting beta and has a free tier for all users, with some caveats of course.

For those who are unaware, GeForce Now is streaming service that allows users to stream PC games to laptops, Macs, Nvidia Shields, and other Android devices. Over 1,000 games are already on the service, including Fortnite, Borderlands 3 and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Users can also migrate their pre-existing purchases over to Nvidia’s service – meaning if you bought a game Steam, Origin and Epic Games Store.
Users can stream with GeForce Now starting today for free, but free users will only be able to play for 1 hour before having to log off and start a new session. You can start as many sessions a day as you like, but you have to log off and log back in after an hour. Nvidia says this is necessary for providing the best service for paid users.
GeForce Now’s premium service will cost you $5 dollars a month, which offers priority access to Nvidia’s servers and allows for extended sessions of up to 6 hours. GeForce Now beta members have also had their beta accounts automatically converted to this plan for free for the first few months.
As someone who’s used GeForce Now, I can say that it’s a pretty cool service. That is of course if you have decent connection. I did experience some visual artifacting and lag when playing PUBG, but I could look past it. Thoughts ?

Nvidia Unveils Its New RTX Series GPUs


During Gamescom, Nvidia revealed it’s newest GPU lineup based on its new Turing GPU architecture. All three GPUs announced feature the all-new RTX prefix, highlighting the new architecture’s focus on Ray Tracing, and setting them apart from previous Nvidia GPUs.




The RTX family consists of three GPUs: RTX 2080 Ti, RTX 2080, and RTX 2070. All three are available for pre-order in Founder's Edition trim and available September 20th. Founder's Edition cards will be more expensive than the prices listed, and they are as follows according to Nvidia's webpage:
Nvidia RTX 2070: $599
Nvidia RTX 2080: $799
Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti: $1,299

NVIDIA's Titan V Was Made For AI Learning And Scientists

NVIDIA's newest Titan GPU is now available, and the company says it's the "world's most powerful GPU for the PC" yet. NVIDIA launched the Volta-powered Titan V at the annual Neural Information Processing Systems conference. Volta is NVIDIA's latest microarchitecture designed to double the energy efficiency of its predecessor, and Titan V can apparently deliver 110 teraflops of raw horsepower or around 9X what the previous Titan is capable of. This powerful new GPU's target? Scientists and researchers working on AI, deep learning and high performance computing. Since Volta was designed to work on a mixture of computation and calculations and has features created specifically for deep learning, scientists can use the GPU to build their own desktop PCs if they don't need special servers. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang said during the event:

"Our vision for Volta was to push the outer limits of high performance computing and AI. We broke new ground with its new processor architecture, instructions, numerical formats, memory architecture and processor links. With TITAN V, we are putting Volta into the hands of researchers and scientists all over the world. I can't wait to see their breakthrough discoveries."


The GPU, which is now available from NVIDIA's website and retailers, will cost $2,999.

Nintendo And Nvidia Partner To Bring Select Wii Games To Nvidia Shield In China


Nvidia, iQiyi and Nintendo have announced a special partnership to bring select Wii titles to the Nvidia Shield in China. The device will play popular PC games as well as Wii games such as Mario Galaxy, Twilight Princess and Punch Out. It has also been announced that there are more Wii games coming and these games will run in HD. You will be able to access these games through the GeForce Now streaming service. Each game will cost 68 yuan, or $10.27. Thoughts ? Really hope these games come to Nintendo Switch down the road.

Nvidia Announces Titan Xp, Beta Pascal Drivers For The Mac Coming Soon


Nvidia has announced its Titan Xp GPU, as well as news that new beta Pascal drivers are coming next week for the Mac. The company says it pushes more cores, faster clocks, faster memory and more TFLOPS than its predecessor, the Titan X. Specs for the Titan Xp include: 12GB of GDDR5X memory running at 11.4 Gbp; 3,840 CUDA cores running at 1.6GHz; and 12 TFLOPs. Nvidia says its making the GPU open to the Mac community with new Pascal drivers, coming later this month.

NVIDIA Reveals The GTX 1080 Ti


NVIDIA has unveiling its newest flagship graphics card, the GTX 1080 Ti. The $699 graphics card promises 35% faster performance than the GTX 1080, and according to NVIDIA "is even faster in games" than the Titan X. The card is equipped with 11 GB GDDR5X memory, 3584 CUDA cores and a 1582 MHz boost clock. For comparison, the $1200 Titan X has 12 GB GDDR5X, the same 3584 CUDA cores, and a boost clock of 1531 MHz. Both cards require 250 watts of power. The GTX 1080 Ti is set to release in March.

Nvidia Revamps GeForce Now For Mac And PC


Nvidia wants everyone to have access and to experience its hardware. With it being impossible to fit a GTX 1080 into a MacBook, has introduced a new version of its GeForce Now game streaming software that allows users to play any game they own from the likes of Steam, Origin, and Uplay on any Mac or PC. This will let PC gamers access its top-end hardware without needing to assemble a gaming PC. The GeForce Now service uses GTX 1080-equipped machines in data centers to stream games to PCs and Macs. Pricing starts at US$25 for 20 hours of play on a GTX 1060 PC, or 10 hours of play on a GTX 1080 PC. A demo of 8 hours on a GeForce GTX 1060 PC, or 4 hours on a GTX 1080 PC will be available. The new service works like a virtual desktop; users see a full Windows install on logging in. From there, they can load up regular versions of Steam, Battle.net, Origin, Uplay, and GOG and download any game they like from their existing library. While I don’t believe in game streaming services, if you’re a Mac users this seems really compelling and I will definitely give the Demo a try. Thoughts ?

Nvidia CEO Believes Ports For The Nintendo Switch Will BE Simple Due To The Tegra Chip


Nvidia CEO, Jen-Hsun Huang, spoke about the Nintendo Switch in the company’s financial call last week. Huang advised that the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and soon the Switch, have modern GPU’s in common, and as a result of that, game developers can “target a much larger base with one common code”. The Nintendo Switch has recently been confirmed to have a Tegra chip powered by Nvidia. Here’s what Huang mentioned in the call: “The quality of games has grown significantly. And one of the factors of production value of games that has been possible is because the PC and the two game consoles, Xbox and PlayStation, and — in the near-future — the Nintendo Switch, all of these architectures are common in the sense that they all use modern GPUs, they all use programmable shading, and they all have basically similar features.” As a result of that, game developers can target a much larger installed base with one common code base and, as a result, they can increase the production quality, production value of the games.” Thoughts ?

Japanese Journalist Details Alleged Nvidia Architecture For The Nintendo Switch

According to Japanese journalist Nishikawa Zenj, the Nintendo Switch will likely use the Nvidia Pascal ‘Parker’ architecture for the system GPU. He also claims that the special Tegra chip could allow Nintendo to enhance the system much like Sony has done with the PlayStation 4 Pro. Here’s all the info.

  • Switch will likely use the NVIDIA Pascal ‘Parker’ architecture for its GPU
  • the Tegra chip inside the platform could help the Switch evolve just like the PS4 and the PS4 Pro
  • There are no indications that Nintendo will opt for the ‘Maxwell’ architecture within the Switch

NVIDIA’s GTX 1050 Graphics Card Line Starts At $109


NVIDIA has announced the GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti, a pair of GPUs built for people who want to get into PC gaming. They're both based on NVIDIA's Pascal architecture, and the company says you'll be able to play many titles at a smooth 60 frames per second in 1080p. The GTX 1050 Ti is slightly more powerful, featuring 768 CUDA cores and 4GB of GDDR5 RAM. While the GTX 1050 offers 640 CUDA cores and only 2GB of GDDR5 RAM. Neither card supports VR, although there's no external power connector needed. You can buy the GTX 1050 on October 25th at $109, while the GTX 1050 Ti is expected to arrive around November 8th for $139 and above.

According to AppleInsider, a series of new positions advertised by Nvidia seek software engineers for the company's Mac graphics drivers team. Qualified applicants should have experience with Apple's Metal which is featured on new Macs as well as iOS devices. Apple's Metal is a core graphics technology that gives apps near-direct access to the GPU (graphics processing unit). This means faster and more efficient rendering performance across the system. Looks like Apple and Nvidia are working together behind the scenes, which means great things for Apple fans who like to play games. Thoughts ?

Nvidia Is Bringing Its GTX 1000 Series GPUs To Notebooks


Nvidia is bringing its GTX 1000 series GPUs to laptops. This isn't the M series, it's the GTX 1060, GTX 1070, and GTX 1080 inside laptops (how insane in that!). Starting of, the GTX 1080 will run 2,560 CUDA cores at 1733Mhz, with 8GB of GDDR5X memory. The GTX 1070 (designed to replace the 980M) will run 2,048 CUDA cores at 1645Mhz with 8GB of GDDR5 memory, and the GTX 1060 (designed to replace the 970M) will run 1,280 CUDA cores at 1670Mhz with 6GB of GDDR5 memory. Nvidia's own benchmarks show impressive reference performance between the notebook and desktop versions of the GTX 1080, GTX 1070, and GTX 1060, with some tests leaving the notebook version of the GTX 1080 performing better. These latest GPUs provide at least 150% more performance than the M chips. Nvidia expects gaming notebook sales to increase by 30% this year, and its new GTX 1000 series will clearly help boost some of those notebook sales later this year. Gamers should get around 30% more battery life with these new GPUs, and Nvidia has tweaked its battery boost technology to improve frame variance when you're gaming without AC. Nvidia's biggest promise with these new GPUs is that they're VR ready, so you can use your HTC Vive or Oculus Rift on the go. What do you think of Nvidia giving gaming laptops a supercharge upgrade ?
