Pokemon GO Plus Gets An Update

Trainers who search for Pokemon in the real world using the Pokemon GO Plus accessory can now select one of multiple notification modes. Scanning for both PokeStops or Pokemon simultaneously still remains the default setting if you want to try to catch as many Pokemon and collect as many PokeBalls as possible. However, you can also individually enable or disable each of these notifications based on your preference. In addition, when you are out with your Buddy Pokemon you can choose to not receive notifications, and just record the distance of your walks. Lastly, the Pokemon GO Plus accessory will remain paired with the Pokemon GO app if you choose to use the app while interacting with Pokemon or Gyms.

Pokemon GO Plus Launches On September 16

The wearable device that lets players interact with Pokemon GO without looking at their smartphone, Pokemon GO Plus, will launch on September 16th. Compatible with both iOS and Android (Here’s the full compatibility list), Pokemon GO Plus connects to smartphones via Bluetooth low energy and notifies players about nearby Pokemon and PokeStops. When a Pokemon is near, the device will vibrate and its LED will flash green. Players can press the button on the device once close to throw a PokeBall. A successful catch will result in the device flashing and vibrating. The Pokemon GO Plus device will vibrate and flash blue whenever in range of a PokeStop, allowing players to receive items with a simple tap of the Pokemon GO Plus button. Pokemon GO Plus can also be used while Pokemon GO is running in the background on smartphones.

Pokemon GO Plus Delayed Till September

Nintendo has confirmed that the Pokemon GO Plus accessory has unfortunately been delayed till September. Nintendo wouldn’t give an explanation for the delay. The Go Plus accessory connects to the user’s smartphone via Bluetooth to let them perform tasks like catching a Pokemon with just the press of a button. The device also notifies the player when Pokemon are nearby. It sucks that Pokemon GO Plus is delayed, but I hope with this delay that more Pokemon GO Plus’ will be available for pre order. What do you think ?

Pokemon GO Plus Is Selling For Ridiculous Prices On eBay

The $35 Pokemon GO Plus wearable add on device doesn't have an official release date yet, but that hasn’t stopped a high resell price on eBay. The wearable is expected to launch sometime in July and it looks like it will be extremely tough to find one at that time. As this time, Pokemon Go Plus is no longer available on Amazon, GameStop and the Nintendo Store UK. Those desperate enough for the device will have to use eBay, where you’re guaranteed to pay upward of $100. The device links to a smartphone via Bluetooth, allowing players to collect items and catch Pokemon without glancing at their screen. It'll vibrate when Pokemon are nearby and players will only have to click a button to throw a Pokeball. The Pokemon Go Plus wearable is not necessary to play Pokemon Go, but it certainly makes thing a lot easier when searching for and catching Pokemon. I really hope they’ll come out with more in the future. Do you regret not pre-ordering Pokemon GO Plus ? Do you pre-order one and are happy that you did ?
