Capcom has announced it will no longer support native DirectInput for the PC version of Street Fighter V in its next update, opting instead of have use Steam's native support for PS4 controllers and other devices instead.
The company announced that the next update, which will drop on February 27 will remove the game's native support of the input method to "improve operation stability for DirectInput USB controllers used with the Steam version of the game." To reconfigure your controller just follow a few instructions outlined by Capcom:
1. Confirm that STREET FIGHTER V is not running.
2. Log in to your Steam client and select either "Steam" or "View" from the upper left corner. Then, go to "Settings" > "Controller."
3. When the controller settings window displays, select "General Controller Settings," looking to the bottom of the window for the detected controllers notification. Confirm it lists the name of your PC, as well as any USB controllers currently in use.
4. Fill in the check boxes for the settings that apply to the currently connected controller types.
You'll also have to assign controllers inputs manually for your device one more time, though, with the way Steam's support of these devices work, it should recognize them more consistently and without additional work, which means once you set a controller up, you shouldn't have to do anything else. Xinput controllers will still work natively after the update.

Falke, the Guardian Hawk, is coming to Street Fighter V. Falke releases on April 24 as a part of Season 3. Season 3 also includes G, another character making his debut this season, as well as fan-favorite characters like Sakura, Blanka, Cody, and Sagat.
The Evolution Championship Series (EVO) 2018 is coming in August, but the game list has been announced to give people plenty of time to sign up and train for the games. Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition continues to add the modes and features that really should’ve launched with the original game, this time its a Team Versus Mode. Team Versus Mode lets teams of players engage in 1v1 matches to reach an eventual winner. Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition's version has a host of custom options, however, including how much life a winner regains, whether to continue fighting after a winner has been determined, randomizing order, and more. The mode is local only. Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition releases on PlayStation 4 and PC on January 16. It will be a free update for existing owners or a new release including season one and two characters.
Capcom has revealed what characters will be apart of Street Fighter V's third season. Sakura is the first fighter for the Capcom fighter's third season, and the initial trailer showed off her skillset, which includes her signature Shunpu Kyaku and Hadoken, as well as her two V-Triggers and what looks like her V-Skill, which has her jumping towards the opponent and looks like it can lead to number of follow-ups. The rest of the season includes Sagat, Cody, Blank, Falke and G. The third season begins on January 16, which is also when Sakura will be available to play.
Capcom has announced that Street Fighter V is getting an Arcade Edition of the game on January 16 on PS4 and PC. The edition costs $39.99 and includes Arcade mode, Extra Battle mode, new V-trigger moves, Gallery, a new user interface, and seasons 1 and 2 DLC characters (via a download code), as well as the base game. If you already own Street Fighter V you'll get everything except the DLC characters for free via an update.
