EVO 2020 Lineup Has Been Announced

EVO has announced the lineup of games that will be seen at this year’s even. Some of them aren’t surprising. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be at EVO 2020, along with 8 other games. This includes Samurai Shodown, Tekken 7, Soul Calibur 6 and Marvel Vs Capcom 2 just to name a few. EVO 2020 is from July 31st to August 2nd. You can see the full lineup of games in the tweet below.

Zafina Returning In Tekken 7, New Charcter Leroy Smith Announced

During EVO 2019, it was revealed that Zafina is a returning in Tekken 7 along with a completely original character, Leroy Smith. Also all other characters will receive new moves, there will be new stats displays, updated U.I., and expanded practice functionality among other updates. Two additional characters are also planned, as well as a new feature, and a new stage. The new season kicks off in September 2019.

Here Are The Games That Will Be Featured At EVO 2019

The official lineup for EVO 2019 has been revealed. 9 games will be featured at the this year’s championship series.

• BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle

• Street Fighter V Arcade Edition 
• Soul Calibur VI
• Mortal Kombat 11

Surprisingly, Super Smash Bros. Melee is not on the official lineup. Melee’s first EVO appearance was in 2007, before paving the way for Brawl to shine on its own in 2008. It returned in 2013, making this the first time that Melee will not be featured at EVO since 2012.

Armor King, Craig Marduk Available Now In Tekken 7, Negan And Julia Coming Soon

During the Tekken World Tour Finals, It was revealed that Armor King and Craig Marduk are joining the roster and are available now. Julia  is also coming later on. You can watch Marduk and Armor King's respective character reveal trailers for season 2 down below. 

We also got to see see Negan (of The Walking Dead) in action. You can watch his cinematic debut below as well.

Negan and Julia don’t have release dates, but we should expect them sometime in 2019. 

UPDATE 2/18/19 - Everyones favorite streamer Julia and The Walking Dead’s Negan are coming to Tekken 7 on February 28.

Anna, Lei Wulong And The Walking Dead’s Negan Are Coming To Tekken 7

During Evo 2018, Tekken producers Katushiro Harada got on stage to announce the next DLC season of Tekken. The trailer, which you can see below, starts with returning characters Anna and Lei Wulong, and then ends with a teaser reveal of Negan from The Walking Dead.

It’s nice to see the return of Anna and Lei Wulong, but to see that Negan is coming to the game has me excited. I know this is a divisive topic in the FGC right now, but as a big The Walking Dead fan I’m interested to see what he bigs to the table. 

All of these characters are part of Tekken 7's season two DLC and includes a 3 more returning characters that have yet to be revealed. Tekken 7 is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Final Fantasy XV's Noctis Coming To Tekken 7 Next Week

Bandai Namco has announced that Final Fantasy XV's Noctis is coming to Tekken 7  on March 20 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Noctis is playable in the new Hammerhead Garage stage as well as other locations in the title. It’s unknown how much this DLC will costs at this time.

EVO 2018 Lineup Announced, First Time Without Marvel VS. Capcom

The Evolution Championship Series (EVO) 2018 is coming in August, but the game list has been announced to give people plenty of time to sign up and train for the games. EVO has been the premiere fighting game tournament for the world over since 1996 when it was known as Battle By the Bay. He’s The line up:

• BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle

This is the first time since 2009 without a Marvel vs. Capcom game and the only time in the tournament's entire history without a Capcom Vs. game. Considering how recently Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite released, it was nearly unfathomable that the game would miss EVO. EVO 2018 will take place in Las Vegas August 3 - 5.

Geese Howard Joins Tekken 7 Tomorrow

Fatal Fury's Geese Howard comes to Tekken 7 on November 30, according to store listings on PSN and Xbox Live. Howard is the second guest character in Tekken 7, the first being Street Fighter's Akuma, and the third being Final Fantasy XV's Noctis coming sometime in Spring 2018. You can check out Geese's reveal trailer below. Tekken 7 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Bandai Namco has announced that Final Fantasy XV's Noctis is coming to fighter Tekken 7 in Spring 2018. He's also bringing his Energy Blade and a new stage with him.

The Switch Is The Bet Selling Console In July 2017 + Top Games For The Month

The latest NPD report has been released, which covers the month of July. NPD analyst Mat Piscatella says that the Nintendo Switch has outsold both the PS4 and Xbox One in July,  Piscatella says that this was “driven by new inventory released in support of the launch of Splatoon 2”. Speaking of Splatoon 2, not only was it the top-selling game in July, but it is officially a “system seller”. This is because the increased stock of Switch units has allowed more people to finally buy the console, right on time for the release of Splatoon 2. Piscatella says that “Year to date, hardware spending has grown 20 percent versus 2016 to $1.6 billion. Performance of the Nintendo Switch continues to be the primary cause of the year-on-year gains”.

Fatal Fury's Geese Howard Coming To Tekken 7

Bandai Namco has revealed the latest fighter in Tekken 7 is Geese Howard of Fatal Fury and King of Fighters fame. The character was shown off shortly after the Tekken 7 finals during Evo 2017. You can watch the character trailer below.

Tekken Bowl Mode Returning In Tekken 7

Bandai Namco has announced that the classic Tekken Bowl mode is making a return in Tekken 7. The game's latest DLC will add the mini-game, now called Ultimate Tekken Bowl, when it's released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in August. The upcoming add-on content will also include a new Costume Pack. Other info like pricing in unknown at this time.

UPDATE 8/29/17 - The bowling mode will release on August 31. The mode is included in the Tekken 7 season pass, though it can also be purchased separately. It is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Tekken 7 Is Getting Post Release Content

Bandai Namco has announced that Tekken 7 will have post-launch content, which including 2 guest characters from other series. The first batch of DLC comes in the summer and contains a new game mode and costumes. This is followed in the Winter 2017 with the first guest character, and the second one in Spring 2018. Tekken 7's season pass is $24.99, but no word yet on the individual pricing.

Eddy Gordo Joins The Roster For Tekken 7

Bandai Namco has revealed that Eddy Gordo has joined the roster of Tekken 7. Take a look at the video below to see Eddy in action. Tekken 7 releases on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on June 7.

Here’s The Line Up For EVO 2017

The organizers of the biggest fighting game tournament, EVO,  have announced which games will be part of this year's tournament. Here's the confirmed list of games:

• BlazBlue: Central Fiction
• Tekken 7
• The King of Fighters XIV

A 9th game will be selected by fan polls, which will be affiliated with charity efforts for the Make-a-Wish foundation. Here's the full list of games EVO fans will be able to choose from. The winning game will start with a $10,000 prize pool. You can track the progress of the donations and see what game is in the lead by heading here.

EVO 2017 will take place July 14-16 in Las Vegas. You can find out more about plans for the 2017 event here.

Tekken 7 Finally Gets A Release Date + More

Bandai Namco has announced that Tekken 7 will release on June 2 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. They also released a  new trailer, which gives us a look into the game's story. Also announced was a collectors edition for the game. It’ll come with the Day 1 Edition of the game, a Steelbook, the games soundtrack and a 30cm X 45cm statue of Kazuya kicking Heihachi in mid-air. 

Miguel Is The Latest Character To Join The Tekken 7 Roster

Bandai Namco has announced the latest character to join the Tekken 7 roster, Miguel. Miguel is looking to avenge the death of his sister, who appears to be murdered at her wedding. You can see Miguel in action in the trailer below.
