Rising Thunder, an indie fighting game that never made it out of its first beta test in 2015, is releasing a "Community Edition" of the game to let fans of the game keep it running despite its death. The fighter was first pitched as an accessible fighting game that focused on reading your opponent over execution. The former Rising Thunder team has announced that they are releasing the latest internal build of the game, which includes online play and local play, but there's no characters or stages that weren't available in the last beta. Additionally, the team is releasing the source code for the servers, allowing the community to tinker with and improve the rudimentary matchmaking server being released with the Community Edition. Rising Thunder: Community Edition will be released for free in January on PC. The Rising Thunder team also mentioned that they have a new project in the works and will announce it "when the time is right." Thoughts ? I really enjoyed the the little time I had with the game and with the community having the source code, the skies the limit for this. Keeping you in the know for Tech/Gaming news. Mortal Kombat X's Multiplayer Is Getting An Upgrade
Mortal Kombat X multiplayer is about to get so much better as an enhanced online beta will begin on January 19 for those who signup. Any player who has played for more than 1 hour online can sign up for testing using the online beta site (On Tuesday), though that doesn’t guarantee you an invite. Only 4 character will be available during the start of the beta. Those characters are Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Jacqui Briggs, and Johnny Cage. NetherRealm Studios plans on adding more as the testing goes on. It’s nice to see NetherRealm going all in on Mortal Kombat X. They’re not just releasing one batch of DLC and saying they’re done with the game like other developers. They see that this game is very popular with and active and passionate community. It’s nice to see this and I hope other developers follow suit. What do you think of Mortal Kombat X getting an enhanced online play ? Monday, November 9, 2015

If you were hoping to play Mortal Kombat X on PS3 or Xbox 360 then you should look away. A community admin over on the WB Games forums made an official announcement stating that the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game have been cancelled. Here is the official statement.
“After months of development, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has come to the regrettable conclusion that we cannot release Mortal Kombat X for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Please know our teams worked diligently to meet the quality standards set by the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. We were not able to get the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions to the quality expected of a Mortal Kombat game and are very sorry for not being able to deliver the products as originally planned.”
If you pre order the game I advise you to ask about a refund. Would you buy and PS4 or Xbox One to play MKX ?
